My fiance Ron Foster and I met with John McFee of The Doobie Brothers. John is a multi-talented guy and has been influential in the music industry playing everything from country to rock-n-roll. He was a longtime member of Clover, the group that eventually became known as Huey Lewis and The News and is a founding member of the country band, Southern Pacific along with the late Doobies drummer Keith Knudsen.

It has been awhile now since Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, devastating everything in her path. Kudos to the residents and relief workers for their tireless efforts in rebuilding New Orleans and other areas along the Gulf Coast. Much has been done but much more remains. Laura's "lucky dog" is "Queen" Munchkin.
"Munchkin adopted me in 1993 when she was 6 weeks old. She's a Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix and is the "Queen" at our house..she's the one in charge! Munchkin eats dog food if I insist on it, but she'd prefer a meal of: grapes, cantaloupe, bananas, tomatoes, buttered spinach and bread and I've even caught her slurping beer, wine, Diet Coke and milk!"
Just so you know, I've talked to the vet and the occasional small piece of fruit is not harmful. Remember though, dogs should NEVER, EVER eat chocolate! Providing a home to Munchkin is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. If you're considering adopting a pet, please check the links below. Remember: When adopting, PLEASE get your pet spayed or neutered. The cost is minimal and shelters offer reduced costs as an incentive to help reduce pet overpopulation.

For Mother's Day, my Mom came to visit. We had a great time together- lunch out, shopping, etc. but her favorite part was riding on Ron's motorcycle!Hey! What's this? It's my mom, Doris, getting ready for her first motorcycle ride with Bubba! He's the BIKE.. a Honda 750 Magna. The guy drivin' is my other half, Ron! What's up with the funny fingers?!?! That's my mom..always up for a joke! It's my mom, the biker babe... "'Bye Laura, we're headin' out to Sturgis!"
