Going out for New Year's Eve always gives me mixed feelings. There is so much hype for this being such a party night that I often end up feeling let down or disappointed afterwards. Well, usually not, but sometimes. Anyway, this year was great because I had very low expectations knowing that I'd be at home by 9pm watching the ball drop in Times Square or other explosion simulating effects in various cities on TV. The three of us had a great time at Chad and Katie's (and Mac's -- pictured above with his dad). Kid friendly and adult friendly really. Plenty of food, drink and games not to mention a Sesame Street video or two.
