Jeremy "Junks" Deane grew up in VA all his life. Hes always enjoyed playing and listening to music. At age 8 he picked up the violin and has been playing ever since. At age 13 he got a lotus guitar for his bday--w/in the first day he was playing/sightreading simple tunes like ode to joy. He then learned Aerosmith, Nirvana, Metallica, and blink 182 songs....yes-blink182--lol--unitl.... (fav bands of that time..Aerosmith I still #1 got all there albums I love that shit!) In 1999 Junks' uncle took him to a Steve Vai concert. The Vai concert changed the way Junks would look at the guitar forever. I then went and got all of his albums--(flexable, flexable leftovers, Passion and Warfare, Sex and Relgion--first time i discovered devin townesend---alien love secreats, fire garden, ultra zone, then as they were released....the 7th song, alive in an ultra world, and the unrelased movie sutff) Vai became my favorite musician/guitar player. Around this time I got into Joe Satriani and got all his music too. Found a friends bro (shakey's bro---matt) matt taught me for a half of a yr on guitar some scales and improv stuff...I became good friends w/ him an shakey and stone lucy. ...time time time... started to get full circle in to shred w/ Zakk wyldeRandy Rhoads/and vai related artists..frank zappa too. Then one day I bought Goast of mars soundtrack cause steve vai was on it...i noticed the name Buckethead---remembering from my fav part of mortal kombat the fight scene of goro vs art i recalled Buckethead's name...after i heard him on the cd..i went out and bought Giant Robot, Monsters and Robots, and then Colma (then anything that he was on that i could find...lots!) Buckethead became an even more big influence because he was insanely good and diverse. Then one day during one of my many 2hr trips to guitar center I saw this dude lookin at a 7 string ibanez... i said "get a universe" he actuall knew what i was sayin..he too was a big vai fan...he liked buckethead too..and he reminded me of the name paul gilbert and got me into him/racer x---(the dudes name was paul) paul an i became friends..exchanged lots of music influences, jamed, chilled...blah blah..goin there this weekend...cool dude....242 hehe--so got into racer x and paul gilbert i also got videos from gilbert and petrucci..another fav i dicovered from a friend. I took Ap music theory during this time. Met david c. david. s and joe evans.....all became good friends (david s was badass on violin an showed me some shit that was tight/chilled w/ him on trip where i became w/ Shannon too...ghesssh this is my life's story. Ok so one weekend when i was chillin w/ paul he gave me a cd of Ron Thal/Bumblefoot (911) Holy shit I thought that cd was insane! Ron became another influence and i bought all his stuff i could get...but the coolest thing about ron was i also became friends w/ him via email...where he gave me some good advice on guitar/music, industry stuff. and helped me w/ depression........ ok heres how i met Zach and chris Zach-i met him my 10th grade yr in orchestra he was new an our classed was forced to do that pic someone and introduce um thing....well he an i had lots of things in common and became friends Chris- knew who he was b4 but didn't know him till Christian introduced me to him 10th grade.... then zach had an idea to start a band he got chris, an I (among others rick, and joel-never really did ne thing) So it became us three for the summer in zachs room..then my basement. We then got a new singer (no longer rick) Ryan Sulivan a good friend of mine...unfortanitly because of popular vote he is no longer our singer. ----phew stevevaijunkj@yahoo.com xxxJuNkSxxx on aim "dont think in the box, and dont think outside the box, and dont make a new box for others to think in, create ur own sphere."---Junks DRINK MT.
