THE WALTER

Well, here it is. The new and improved website of your favorite friend...and we all know it! Have fun!

1/17/04: Well, this is the first entry of my journal. I will try to update this around once a week, give or take a few days. Anyway, the site has a new layout. I decided to make it a little neater and cleaner because I didn't really like having everything crammed onto one page. Now you have to do some work and actually click on links, so let's see how it works out, Haha.

Anyway, so far this year is pretty good for the first 17 days. I'm getting better at guitar and the band is actually progressing thought some pitfalls. We have within the las two days lost our drummer and had to relieve our bassist of his duties. Paris (drummer) is too busy with his other band, Severed Hand and we all decided that Kevin (bassist) does not really have very much passion for our band (Evilution) so we decided to search for a new bassist. The good part is the rest of the band is tighter than ever and we've nearly done with our first cover which is "I Walk To My Own Song" by Stratovarius. That is turning our rather nicely and our five originals just need tuning...and of course drums and bass, but can't ask for everything. So, we want to record a demo by the middle of February and we will do it even if we need to use mechanical drums to complete it. We have the equipment, so it won't be so difficult.

Moving to a new home has it's ups and downs, but overall I can't complain. The drive to school and friends is lengthy, but fortunately my parents are willing to make the drive and as long as I plan things out ahead of time I have good time to hang out with my friends still. The house is beautiful. I absolutely love it so it's a definite upgrade from my old house. The area is very nice too because I'm within walking distance of some cool places which is nice. I hope to meet some kids down here my age, but since I'm not going to school in this area it's a bit more difficult. Maybe I'll find a youth group or something, who knows?

This Friday my cousin, Kevin and I are off to see Iron Maiden and Arch Enemy live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC which is insanely exciting. This'll by my third time seeing the Gods that are Iron Maiden and my first seeing Arch Enemy who I love. I'll be spending the weekend with my cousin we it's a nice little hang out time too. There's nothing I enjoy more than being at a heavy metal concert so every day is more exciting. I also am off school that day too which makes it easier because it's a Friday so it works out. Up The Irons!

Well, that's pretty muc hall for this week. I'm going to be taking mid-terms which sucks majorly, but fortunately I'm exempt from enough that I only need to take one a day which is fortunate. Talk to you next week and let you know how the Iron Maiden/Arch Enemy show went and everything else. Toodles.
