The Obvious on record:
The Obvious has finished recording its first demo, an EP entitled The Price of Slack, with engineer Mike Brody. We are now taking care of little sonic details and artwork, and it will be ready by the end of the year.
The band will be putting out its long-awaited (sha!) full-length record (Fighting for the Obvious) sometime in 2007. It is likely to be an epic 2LP affair (covering everything from the band's beginnings in the 90s to its current incarnation), with a $3.39 promotional budget to match. We have about 30 songs/half-songs, and we will begin work on it once we learn how to record ourselves competently. For now, here's some songs to listen to:

This is the original demo from 1997. So far, this is THE definitive version. The guitar and bass is by Dan, the flute and drums are courtesy of a 1987 Casio keyboard, and the vocals are by the one and only Gee. Enjoy the carnage.
This Coldplay cover was done by Dan in May 2003, and was inspired by a big crush.
