STEMM CELL HAPPENINGS

09/04/07 - Yes, over 15 months since I've entered an update, but here it is. We were at Overlord Studios in Toastarica yesterday recording 4 new tracks for our upcoming full length album. Tattoo Todd is producing the CD and we are really excited about what we are putting together. We have a show upstairs at Finnegans Beachside Pub in Flagler Beach this Friday night September 7th, then we are booked and are proud to be playing the Flagler Music Festival on Saturday September 15th. Finnegans starts at 7:00PM and the Festival set is from 12:30 to 2:00 in the afternoon. After those 2 shows, we are booked at Champz on State Road 100 in Bunnell, (used to be Rossi's) on Saturday, October 20th for a Biketoberfest event. We'll have more details on that show really soon. Finally, we have our first real ALL ORIGINAL gig scheduled for The Haven in Winter Park on Saturday, October 27th. We'll be playing with 3 other bands, they are Etchet In Stone, Splintered Soul and a touring band from Atlanta, GA called Wicked Jones. More details on that show soon as well.

06/02/06 - We are 2 days away from our next show on Sunday night at Finnegan's Beachside Pub in Flagler Beach at 9:00. We will be on 95.7FM The Hog's The Scene for their 2-Year Anniversary Show. This episode of The Scene not only marks the show's 2-Year Anniversary, it also marks the return to the air and live show, of "Tattoo" Todd Taylor. Todd has been pursuing other avenues of revenue, but now returns to the show for good. Listen to the radio show on 95.7FM "Daytona's Classic Rock Station" The Hog at 8:00 this Sunday night June 4th for interviews and music from Voodoo Hodown, Stemm Cell and OverlorD. Then head out to the concert at Finnegan's at 9:00 for a good one. This show will be guest hosted by "Sam Kinison's Ghost" comedian Brian Hamilton, so what a great night it will be.

05/30/06 - Our prayers and well wishes to Robert, Susan, Carol and all of the Rome family on this 2nd Anniversary of Tony's passing. So much has happened over that two-year period, but so much seems the same. We still think and talk about Tony almost every day, and (of course,) still play his music. Hope everyone has a great day.

05/24/06 - Desert Of Despair is up from #6 to #4 on www.aiiradio.net charts. Go to the site, click on Charts and vote for us for next Tuesday's Top 40. That would be great if we could get that song back to #1, where it debuted. The Webmistress is very much under the weather today, so send your wishes to her as she takes a couple of days off. As you might know, Tattoo Todd is back on The Scene, and his return will be on June 4th at the 2nd Anniversary Show. As you might also know, we are playing that show with OverlorD and Voodoo Hodown at Finnegans in Flagler Beach. Check the shows link for details.

05/22/06 - Lots of fun last night at Finnegans for Sluggo's Birthday! Thanks to Amii, Tattoo Todd, Toast, Mell and the guys from Doug's other project for coming out and supporting. Next show is once again at Finnegans on June 4th with OverlorD and Voodoo Hodown. This is 95.7FM The Hog's "The Scene" 2 Year Anniversary Show. Comedian Brian Hamilton will be on hand to guest host, and much fun will be had by all.

05/16/06 - Long time since last update. I apologize. If you read the scrolling thing, you can see that Desert Of Despair has climbed back up the Aiiradio.net charts to #6 as of today. If you have a minute, go to www.aiiradio.net and go to the charts section and vote for it for next week. We are still rehearsing in preparation to go into the studio and start our new album. We are also preparing for our next show. When is that you ask? Sunday, June 4th at Finnegans in Flagler Beach as part of 95.7FM "The Hog's" The Scene show. There's talk of a July show at The Metro and an August show in Lakeland. I'm also starting to hear some buzzing about another attempt at a South Carolina trip? Don't quote me on that one. Just rumors...

05/03/06 - Desert Of Despair is back up to #9 on www.aiiradio.net charts from #20. Keep voting every week. Let's get it back to #1. Next show is in St. Augustine at Club Fusion with OverlorD on Saturday May 27th. We will be back in the studio to record some new tracks within (I'd say) 2 weeks. These will be the first tracks with our new guy Fred on guitar. Stay tuned for that.

04/28/06 - Don't forget to go to www.aiiradio.net and vote for Desert Of Despair before Tuesday. We wanted to thank all of the people that are visiting our My Space account (www.myspace.com/stemmcellrocks) and are adding us as friends, sending us messages or leaving us comments. Since our show at Hard Rock Live last Friday, we've added a ton of friends and have had an average of 80 or so music plays a day, so thanks for that. We are back in the studio working on new material tomorrow! We are really excited about it, and hope to have it out to you soon. Happy belated Birthday to Joe Hale of Sleeping With Sybil and Metro Entertainment. Some of us will be down at The Metro for OverlorD's show to celebrate with Joe tonight! Keep it here for more.

04/26/06 - Though the hangover from Hard Rock Live still remains, don't think we're not watching other stuff! Desert Of Despair took a big drop on the www.aiiradio.net charts this week, all the way into the 20's from #3!. Please take a minute, go to their site and vote the song back up. We are getting close to finalizing the content of our next CD. Stay tuned for more on that.

04/24/06 - We can't say enough about Friday night's show at Hard Rock Live. Our new guitarist Fred Felon stepped up and could not have done a better job. With only 4 practices with Fred under our belts, we delivered, (what we feel,) one of our best performances as a unit to date! Thanks to everyone at HRL, and thanks to all of the other bands for making it such a special night. Our next show is Saturday, May 27th at Club Fusion in St. Augustine with OverlorD and others. See you there!

4/17/06 - Hard Rock Live is this Friday Night! We sent out a BUNCH of tickets today, so look for those in your mailbox starting tomorrow. Please email us at dan@stemmcell.net for tickets, or contact us through My Space at www.myspace.com/stemmcellrocks. Running out of time...

04/15/06 - This is Dan. I just wanted to thank everyone for their birtday wishes yesterday, especially Lisa, Dave from the Skeeterz and Sluggo. Dave called Trevor Joe Lennon at 95.7FM "The Hog" (at Lisa's request,) and had Trevor play The Beatles "Birthday" for me. Thanks again. Rehearsal for Hard Rock Live next Friday is going well. Fred (our new guitarist) is picking up things nicely, (but we all expected that from a guy who's such a pro.) We have our Hard Rock Live tickets now, so just email us and we'll send them to you. Time's running out!

04/13/06 - Our next show is on Friday, April 21st at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. The lineup is as follow: 8:00 - Sleeping With Sybil, 9:00 - Stemm Cell, 10:00 - OverlorD, 11:00 - Missing Picket. Contact us at dan@stemmcell.net for tickets, or you can just email us at My Space: www.myspace.com/stemmcellrocks. 21 and up are free, 18-20 cost $4.00, under 18 is $6.00 all with our ticket. With no ticket: $8.00. See everyone out at Orlando City Walk for this great show.

3/29/06 - WTF? Desert Of Despair is down to #5 on www.aiiradio.net's charts. Get back out there and vote it up! Rehearsal continues productively as we attempt to write another chapter in our history. Stay tuned.

3/21/06 - As mentioned on the homepage, our song "Desert Of Despair" has debuted at #1 at www.aiiradio.net. As you might know, we already have 3 songs in the Aiiradio Hall Of Fame. We are the only artist to do that on Aiiradio. BUT, with all of that success, we've never had a #1. Thanks to everyone for voting. Go check out their great site and vote for the song for next week too.

3/17/06 - This may come as a huge surprise to some, but we are back in the studio working on all new material. Some of what you've heard about our demise is true. But, the most important thing is, we're still here. Please keep checking back as we intend to have some surprises for everyone with our new release...

3/15/06 - Well, it's time once again to go to www.aiiradio.net. Once you're there, on the left, click on New Chart Entries and vote for Desert Of Despair. You must vote for a total of 3 songs to make your vote count. Oh yeah, this sucker ain't dead yet!!!

3/09/06 - Congrats to Stemm Cell for having another song in the Aiiradio Hall of Fame. That makes it 3 songs now. In The Nude was just added for being on the chart for 18 weeks in a row. WooHoo!! They're working on which song to submit now. Do I hear a possible England tour soon???

2/13/06 - Happy Pre Valentine's Day all. What a crazy weekend huh. Friday's show was most excellent. We all had a blast. Thanks to all that came out to support - The J-team for joining the band on stage during Nude and Avarice for warming up the crowd. Unfortunaly Duke's was a no go - stomach flu took out a few band members. But it was a good night to stay home and watch Hide & Seek on HBO - under the covers with some ice cream for the rest of us.. :)
Next show is Friday night @ Lillian's in Lakeland. Should make for another great night of music. Then a few weeks of rest. Dare I say - possibly working on a new song???????? **hint ** **hint***
01/31/06 - Today would have been Tony Rome's 35th Birthday. We wanted to wish Susie, Robert, Carol and Tony's whole family back in New Jersey the best on this bitter sweet day.

01/16/06 - Awesome set last night at Finnegans in Flagler Beach. Made some new fans and played impeccably, if we do say so ourselves. We'll see everyone in Jacksonville at The French Quarter on February 10th.

01/13/06 - We've added a last minute show for this Sunday night at Finnegans at State Road 100 & A1A as part of 95.7FM The HOG's "The Scene". We will be playing with New Crash Position from Sarasota. Showtime is 9:00. Listen for both bands to be featured on the radio show the same night at 8:00.

01/12/06 - A couple of things to touch on today. First, In The Nude is back up to #6 on www.aiiradio.net's chart. The song has been on the chart for 17 weeks! If it charts in the top 40 next week, it will take it's place next to Angels Fly and Moth To A Flame in the Aiiradio Hall Of Fame. The show in Jacksonville on February 10th is getting better and better. Avarice from Los Angeles has been added to the bill, and Planet Radio, 107.3FM in Jacksonville will be hosting the night's activities. I'm hearing other rumours as well, so keep it here.

01/11/06 - Quite an interesting evening on Monday night at Slingapours in Orlando. There was a great turnout for the "Guns and Hoses" Kick off party, and we played a nice set for the people. Our next show is scheduled for Friday, February 10th in Jacksonville at a new venue called The French Quarter. There will be other bands added, so check back for more details as the date draws closer.

01/06/06 - Well, what can we say? We had an unbelievable time last night and made a bunch of new friends. Thanks to Only After Five and Take Notice for their friendship, thanks to Abraxas, the guys from Massive Head Wound, Heather and Tanya, Rob Rinker, David and all of his friends, Don, Gary and Sylwia from PCD, and everyone else that came out to support. By the way, a HUGE thanks to Dru, Lisa and James for helping the band do the stuff that we hate to do. Also thanks to everyone who purchased our CD's last night. It was our first attempt at merchandising, and it was a success. Next show is Monday night at Slingapours in Downtown Orlando. Should be a ton of drunken fun.

12/27/05 - We have some nice shows on the horizon. Thursday, January 5th at Hard Rock Live with Take Notice and Only After Five, Monday January 9th at Slingapours/Downtown Orlando we will be playing the kick off party of the Orlando Firefighter's/Police Dept. Hockey Week festivities, On Saturday, February 11th we will join Pulse Nein and Missing Picket at Duke's Orlando, and finally, there is talk of a big show up in Jacksonville towards the end of February, so YES, the break is over! Go to our My Space page, www.myspace.com/stemmcellrocks, for full details on all shows. See everyone in Orlando on the 5th. OH, and Happy Birthday to Dan, our newest member!

12/24/05 - We just wanted to post, thanking DJ the DJ, WJRR, Kim and Jessica at Sick Bitch Entertainment, and Dave at the AKA Lounge for hosting the Native Noise show at the AKA on Thursday night. Stemm Cell had a great time, and made some new friends. Our next show is at Orlando's Hard Rock Live on January 5th with Take Notice and Only After Five. This is an all ages show. Send us an email for tickets.

12/21/05 - Stemm Cell would first like to welcome new rhythm guitarist Dan Spangler to the band. Dan has years of experience as a player and writer, and we feel he will prove to be an excellent compliment to Mike Fisher's lead guitar work. We hope with 2 guitarists, our thicker sound will take Stemm Cell into 2006 stronger than ever. Welcome Dan! Next, the band has some really nice shows coming up in the next few weeks. First, there's the Native Noise (Real Rock 101.1FM Show) show at Orlando's AKA Lounge on Thursday, December 22nd, with Dummo, One Minute Revolution and Social Ghost. Showtime for that one is 10:00PM. Then, we are extremely proud to announce that we will be playing at The Hard Rock Live on January 5th with Take Notice and Only After Five. That show starts at 8:00PM. This show is all-ages. Contact us here for free tickets. Finally, on January 9th we will be playing the kick off party of the Orlando Firefighter's/Police Dept. Hockey Week festivities at Slingapours in Wall Street Plaza. More details on that one really soon, but it should be a blast. Remember, "Fire Up The Night" is coming very soon as well. Last year's party was nothing short of wild. Stemm Cell should be making another appearance on Wall Street for that one as well. Check our shows here, or go to www.myspace.com/stemmcellrocks for info on all of this stuff.

12/20/05 - Well, Stemm Cell was supposed to be on a break through the Holidays. BUT, we got a call from Sick Bitch Entertainment. Kim hooked us up with the show this Thursday night at the AKA Lounge with Real Rock's Native Noise, so we of course signed on. THEN, we are contacted by Hard Rock Live and are now booked to play HRL on January 5th with Only After Five and our very good friends Take Notice! So much for that break... We need to see as many people as possible out at both venues for both shows. It's a tough time of the year to go out, but at the same time, it's nice to get away from all that 'holiday' stuff. Check our shows link for details on both shows, or go to www.stemmcell.net for everything you'll need to know about anything...

12/17/05 - "In The Nude" is at #4 on the www.aiiradio.net charts. This is certainly the song that would not die. This song reached it high mark at #6 quite a while back, and had dropped all the way to #36. Thanks for keeping the song alive on the chart. Next show is Thursday the 22nd at the AKA Lounge in beautiful downtown Orlando. WJRR will be there, and we hope that you will too.

12/13/05 - Stemm Cell will be playing a show with Social Ghost and One Minute Revolution at the AKA Lounge in Orlando on Thursday, December 22nd. This is a WJRR Native Noise show. Doors at 9:00, music at 10:00.

12/04/05 - What? There's talk of yet ANOTHER December show? We are trying to tie up loose ends, so keep it here for updates. We put "In The Nude" up on My Space, so go check out it out. You can just go to our "Media" link and it will take you to our account. More soon...

12/01/05 - Well, December is upon us. Only 24 days 'til Christmas! It seems the last rant post worked, because "In The Nude" went from #32 to #20 this week on the aiiradio charts. Thanks for voting Sluggo's great song back up. Practice continues, and great things are expected for 2006. We will keep everyone updated.

11/28/05 - It has been like FOREVER since I've updated the Rant, so here we go. First off, in our absence, "In The Nude" is all the way down to #32 on the www.aiiradio.net chart. We all need to go vote for the song to push it up. It's been on there for quite a while, and we would like to keep it there long enough to make the Hall Of Fame. Just go to www.aiiradio.net, and click on Charts. Go ALL THE WAY down to #32, and click the vote button. I think you have to vote for 5 different songs now, so please have patience and help us out. Practice is resuming, and there is talk of a Florida tour at the beginning of the year. Keep it here for more details.

11/15/05 - Hiiiiiii deee HOOOOOO - Stemm Cell fans. Stemm Cell is back in the studio working on new music as we speak. They are also auditioning new family members. So if you play guitar, sing, play keyboard or do all three - email the guys for your chance at joining Central Florida's Favorite Family..... Wet blankets or wanna be rock stars need not apply. :)
11/2/05 - Yes Indeed!! You read right - Stemm Cell is on a break. But not from each other. They are working hard to bring you better and more intense music that only Stemm Cell can deliver. Don't fret folks! They'll be back - with a possible mini tour around Florida with several national acts ;) !!!! So save your pennies - cause we expect to see all our adoring fans out the minute we hit the stage. We love you all and can't do this without your support. Peace!
10/21/05 - Biketoberfest is upon us. We play tonight at Destination Daytona at Ormond Beach. The location is directly across the street from the brand new Harley Davidson Resort on US 1. Set time is 9:30. Stemm Cell was featured in the Daytona Beach News Journal on Wednesday, use this link to check it out: http://www.news-journalonline.com/newsjournalonline/entertainment/headlines/03scenent21mus101905.htm. To follow up the newspaper article, Flagler College Radio will play an interview with the band sometime next week. We will post exact details when we receive them. We have another show tomorrow afternoon at Tattoo Tavern in Ormond, showtime is 2:30. Tattoo Tavern is directly across the street from The Iron Horse Saloon on US 1. Should be a great weekend.

10/17/05 - Every time we think it would be impossible to have MORE fun than we did at the last show, we outdo ourselves at the next. How about Sluggo, not only being able to just show up last night as a spectator, but he actually played the full set, and did a damn good job. Thanks for everyone who came out, and we will see you on Friday night in Ormond Beach at Biketoberfest. Set time is 9:45, right after the Lou Gramm Band finishes up. Good times...

10/12/05 - Next show is The Scene at Finnegans Beachside Pub on Sunday night. We are playing with Mohave from Orlando, and the Flying Popes from Daytona Beach. Listen to the radio show on The Hog (95.7FM) at 8:00 for interviews with the bands and samples of their music.

10/07/05 - Next show is TONIGHT at the AKA Lounge in Orlando with Amnesty, Pulse Nein and Nashville's own Shadows Of Light. This is a Connections Magazine show, and also a showcase for Flatfoot Records. Show starts at 9:00. $5 admission at the door. Then, tomorrow night we will perform at Halftimes Sports Bar in Downtown Deland in support of the Deland Original Music Festival. Showtime is 9:30 for that one

10/06/05 - Greetings from the Stemm Cell camp. We just wanted to let all our friends and supporters know what we've been up to this last month and what to look forward to in this month. We kicked off the month at a Rock Your Blues Away concert at Lake Eola Park. We were able to honor our friend and fallen guitarist Tony Rome and meet some pretty cool people. There is a compliation cd to support the cause - contact us with details. Thanks for everyone who came out to support. Pictures are on our website. On Tuesday 10/4 - Dan and Sluggo will be in the studio with DJ Frank from 88.7fm - WFCF. The interview will air later this month and will be able to stream from the radio station. Will send out details as to the exact date. StemmCell music will now be added to his weekly rotation - so we can tune in and listen to StemmCell on the radio - YEAH!!! On 10/7 - Friday Night @ the AKA Lounge in Orlando. StemmCell will be second playing after Amnesty. Followed by Pulse Nein and Shadows of Light. If you haven't gotten your tickets already contact one of the band members. See you out there. On 10/16 StemmCell will be making their return to Finnegan's and the Scene. Radio show at 8 pm. 10/2/05 - Yesterday StemmCell honored our fallen friend - Tony Rome by playing his song at the Rock Your Blues Away concert at Lake Eola Park in Orlando. We had a great time - making new friends and hanging with our old friends. We just want to thank John for inviting us and we look forward to jamming with all the bands in the months to come. Friday night - AKA - call us for tickets.
9/26/05 - Last night's Battle For Biketoberfest went just as we had planned. Stemm Cell will be representing Farwinds Concessions as will Unison for the Biketoberfest shows, thanks to last night's performances. Keep it here for further details as we get them. Busy weekend coming up. We have Rock Your Blues Away in Orlando on Saturday and in Clearwater on Sunday.

9/22/05 - NO, we didn't win the battle last night. Damn Rap Rock! Seriously though, congratulations to the Power Movement Project for their victory. It really was a great show, and man, did Stemm Cell have fun. Our next show is this Sunday at Pappa's in Ocala as part of the Battle For Biketoberfest. Check the shows link for more details.

9/19/05 - Check the Shows link for new updates. We will be playing at least one Biketoberfest show in October, we will post that info when we receive it. We needed to re-schedule our Scene show for the 25th in order to play a "Battle For Biketoberfest event in Ocala on the same day. Should be a great show. We are playing with Unison, Blackwater, and Radio at Pappa's Honky Tonk. Go to the shows link for full details. Lots of writing coming up as we head towards the silly season.

9/07/05 - Well, new www.aiiradio.com Chart is up, and In The Nude is #2 on the chart. Just missed. Maybe next week. Go there and vote for the song. Tonight's show is only 4 1/2 hours away. Wish us luck. SSA's Beachside Live is very much in the air due to that Bitch Ophelia! We'll see how it goes. See you tonight...

09/06/05 - Go to the photos link for pictures from Sunday night's show at The Seabreeze Metal Lounge. Come out tomorrow night around 7:00 for the Backstage Pass Magazine Battle of the Bands at the Black Cloud Saloon @ Thunder Gulch Campgrounds. This is a GREAT venue. Totally indoors, full liquor bar, air conditioned. I mention this as Tropical Depression #16 is sitting out there on our coast, so it probably will be raining tomorrow. Beachside Live on Saturday could very well be affected by this storm, so keep checking back.

9/5/05 - We had a great time last night at the Seabreeze Metal Lounge with Void Nine and Gray Logic. We got some great photos, and they will be up soon. We have the Battle of the Bands this Wednesday at The Black Cloud Saloon at Thunder Gulch in Bunnell. That should start at 7:00. Go to the calendar for more details on that and all of our upcoming shows.

8/31/05 - Wow, a week since the last update. Stemm Cell has been approached by a great organization called Bands Doing Battle, (www.bandsdoingbattle.org) seeking our help in supporting their cause, which is the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. We will make a special appearance at the benefit show being put on to benefit this cause, on October 1st, at the Lake Eola Bandshell in Downtown Orlando. Other bands at this show? Well: Sunday Driver, One Last Stand, DC North, There For Tomorrow and Through You. Every one of those bands played at the Warped Tour this year in Florida. The next day, we will perform a full set at Java Junction in Clearwater with a bunch of great bands. We will post that schedule once it's confirmed. Both the Orlando Show and Clearwater show will benefit both the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. Go to www.pcrf-kids.com and www.bandsdoingbattle.org to support these 2 great organizations.

08/16/05 - Sorry for the delay in updates, but this one will make it worthwhile. We have been contacted by one of Scurge's In Laws (Jason's Father, who is stationed in Iraq,)in regards to Stemm Cell. It seems the troops have been checking us out on the web, but due to what must be horrible reception issues, can't really listen to our music. They have requested that we send out some Stemm Cell CD's immediately. How do you say no? Hey guys, if you're reading this somewhere in the Middle East, they're on their way. Thanks for all that you do for us. Our next show is this Saturday at Metro Entertainment in Melbourne with Sleeping With Sybil. This is the Grand Opening night of this club, and we are honored to have been asked to play. Show should start around 9:00.

08/11/05 - Huge show tonight folks. It would have been enough to play with friends DEGAS and IS, but we also get to share the stage with Shreveport, Louisiana's own The American Tragedy at the Seabreeze. Show starts at 9:00. Come out and support local original music. One more thing, I just wanted to thank my bandmates, and the people that have chimed in on the Forum for their support in this whole Scene mess. It's much needed, and appreciated. Dan...

08/04/05 - Tonight at the AKA Lounge, Downtown Orlando: Stemm Cell, Blindfold, One Night Stan and Unison. Show starts at 9:00. We have a sort of "mini tour" coming up with No Harm Done that will include shows on August 14th at Finnegans with The Antics, August 27th at Ozone CD's, and then again on September 17th with IS. Looking forward to it.

07/28/05 - Next show is on August 4th with NPG's Dead Fish Handshake tour at the AKA Lounge in Orlando. Click on the shows link for more details on that one, and all of the other ones coming up. This past Sunday's The Scene was a lot of fun. We made some new friends, and visited with some old ones. We want to thank Groovy Cool & The Skeeterz, as well as our old singer Tim, who came up and sang a song with us. See you in Orlando on the 4th of August.

7/22/05 - Another successful session with Sean Shannon and Red Room Studios. We are currently debating which songs to put out there for everyone. Listen to 95.7FM The Hog on Sunday night for The Scene. We will be featured, (at least musically,) as the house band. Come out to Finnegans at 9:00 for the live show with Stemm Cell, The Skeeterz and Groovy Cool. Next show after that one is at The AKA Lounge in Orlando supporting the Dead Fish Handshake Tour. We are headlining that show, and go on at 11:30PM. Did I mention it was ladies night?

07/15/05 - Red Room Studios tonight for more recording. We've added YET ANOTHER SHOW. Ozone CD's in Altamonte Springs on August 27th. Our first ever all-ages show. Wish us luck tonight. See everyone out at Finnegans on Sunday the 24th for The Scene with Stemm Cell, The Skeeterz and Groovy Cool.

07/12/05 - Lots of stuff going on. We are will be at Red Room Studios in Orlando Friday night to record 4 more songs. We are hoping to have a full length CD available for our next show, which is on Sunday, July 24th at Finnegans in Flagler Beach with The Skeeterz and Groovy Cool. That show is another 95.7FM The Hog's "The Scene" event.

We have just signed on for National Production Group's "Dead Fish Handshake Tour" and will be playing at The AKA Lounge in Downtown Orlando supporting the tour on Thursday, August 4th. That is Ladies night at AKA. We are headlining the show. Other bands playing that night are Blindfold, Unison, and One Night Stan.

On August 14th we will be back at Finnegans for another Scene performance.

As everyone knows, SSA's Daytona Beachside Live and Deland Original Music Festival are coming up. The dates are set, but not the schedules, so keep checking back for that info.

We just signed on for a Battle of the Bands sponsored by Backstage Pass Magazine at The Black Cloud Saloon. That show will be on Wednesday night, September 7th. Two winners from that show will go on to the finals at "Dale's Ale's" on Wednesday, September 21st, so we need some support out at the Black Cloud on the 7th.

You can go to our shows link and check out the Calendar for all of this info

07/06/05 - Booked another show at the Seabreeze Lounge for August 20th with 7 Blue Skies, IS and The Go-Aways. Get this, we had over 120 plays on My Space yesterday. We did put the new version of "Gun Against My Head" up there yesterday, so I guess that was part of it, and the feature spot on The Scene on Sunday night must have had something to do with it as well. More show announcements coming soon.

07/05/05 - We've posted the pictures from the Seabreeze Lounge show with The Skeeterz and Frogwater in the Photos section. We've also updated our My Space page with new photos, and added "Gun Against My Head" to the song list. Go check it out at www.myspace.com/stemmcell.

07/04/05 - Happy Fourth everybody. If you were listening to 95.7 The Hog last night at 8, you heard Frank Scott interview Dan and play "Desert Of Despair" and "Isolation". Thanks to Frank and The Hog for their continued support. There's a "buzz" in air that might affect the future. Keep it tuned here for more info. We go back to the studio on July 15th to finish the CD. The CD should be available at our next performance, July 24th at Finnegans in Flagler Beach.

06/26/05 - Great show on Friday night. Thanks to the Skeeterz and Frogwater for having us, and thanks to Rebecca of the Seabreeze for her hospitality. Next noteworthy date in the Stemm Cell world is Friday, July 15th. We will be back in the studio to finish up our CD. Our next show will be on Sunday, July 24th as part of the continuing 95.7 The Hog's "The Scene" show. Check the shows link for details.

06/23/05 - Good string of practices this week leading up to Friday night's show. Come on out and have some real fun with us, The Skeeterz and Frogwater. It seems that the contact the band made with National Production Group at the House Of Blues show in February is finally paying off. More on that really soon.

06/21/05 - Haven't updated in a while, so... Come on out Friday night for our show with Frogwater and The Skeeterz closing the show up with free budweiser. Show starts at 9:30, that's when we go on. Check the Shows link for more details. See you there.

06/16/05 - Just checked the Aiir Radio charts and Moth To A Flame went from #17 to #14 yesterday, so we are pretty much assured another spot in the Hall Of Fame. Yay! Dan went to see Def Leppard in Kissimmee last night and he won't shut up about it! Seriously though, what a show. We should let those guys open for us someday. We all saw what was in our email this morning, so we just move on...

06/15/05 - I think with two more weeks on the www.aiiradio.net chart, Moth To A Flame will be joining Angels Fly in the Aiir Radio Hall Of Fame. The new chart comes out this afternoon. The July studio time is now booked, so look for more new music really soon. This site just continues to get better and better, so thank the Web Mistress for that. We've added a bio for "Scurge", and the photos from Finnegans on June 5th.

06/13/05 - If you were listening to 95.7 The Hog last night, you heard Frank Scott play Fade Away on "The Scene". Keep checking the site as the webmistress continues to make improvements. If you want something Stemm Cell related added to our Calendar, (which can be accessed by clicking on the Shows link on the home page,) just drop us an email and we'll be sure to put it up there. Working on new music at the current moment, and more studio time is coming up in July. Moth To A Flame is STILL on the aiiradio.net Top 40 chart. This week, it's at #17. Go vote for it and get it to #1 already! Next show is Friday, June 24th at the Seabreeze Lounge with The Skeeterz and Frogwater.

06/07/05 - What a great show and time had by all Sunday night at Finnegans. Stemm Cell opened the show and it just got heavier from there. Thanks to OverlorD and Luna Dementia, and thanks to the HOG for playing Desert Of Despair, Fade Away and our new hit single, Isolation. Our next show is Friday, June 24th at the Seabreeze Lounge in Daytona Beach with The Skeeterz and Frogwater. Price is usually $3 at the door. I believe we will go on first around 9:30PM.

06/03/05 - TGIF. We're still not sure if there will be an interview with Stemm Cell on Sunday's The Scene show with Frank Scott. We are still waiting to hear back. Tune in Sunday night for the broadcast premiere of "Desert Of Despair" on 95.7 the Hog at 8:00. Frank Scott will be playing 2 other new recordings as well. We go on stage at Finnegans in Flagler Beach at 9:00, so get there early.

05/31/05 - The Countdown to this Sunday has begun. Come out Sunday night for The Scene, featuring Stemm Cell, OverlorD and Luna Dementia. We would really like to see a big Stemm Cell showing out there on Sunday, so do all you can to be there. Stemm Cell goes on at 9:00. Listen to 95.7 The Hog for music and interviews from the bands.

05/30/05 - Today is a sad day in the history of Stemm Cell. On this day, last year, we lost our original guitar player and friend Tony Rome. On this day, which is an anniversary of sorts, we want everyone that knows us, and or knew Tony to take a minute to think about what a great guy he was, and how much we all appreciated just knowing him. Stemm Cell sends out our heart-felt wishes to Robert, Carol and Susan, who all must be having quite a day today. We love you guys, and our thoughts are with you...

05/20/05 - Happy Friday! This is Dan. I just wanted to wish my son James a Happy Birthday, (it was yesterday,) and we all want to wish Sluggo a Happy Birthday, (it's tomorrow.) Our next show is at Finnegans for The Scene, with OverlorD and Luna Dementia on June 5th. We will be debuting a couple of our newly released songs, so check it out.

05/12/05 - All of the bands scheduled to perform at the Orange Blossom Music Festival outside of Deland on the weekend of May 20th received an email from SSA this morning. It seems there have been huge restrictions put on the event and it's organizers. Many of the features that made this event different and/or fun have been taken away by local municipalities, ie; camping, playing loud, etc... Bottom line is, Stemm Cell has decided to pull out of the Orange Blossom Festival. We are trying to refill the May 20th date, so keep it here for details. We apoligize to Phil and SSA, but we just don't feel that this event will come off the way it should now, and that's not fair to the bands, or the fans.

05/05/05 - The 3 of us have finally recovered from the recording process, and are ready to get moving again. One of the new songs, (Isolation) is up on My Space if you want to check it out. Just go to www.myspace.com/stemmcell, and click on the song. Hey, I know that ALL of you listen to The Scene on 95.7 The Hog EVERY Sunday night at 8, but just in case you don't, we have a new reason for you to do so. Dan is now featured on The Scene as the Local Music Scene reporter. His report is called "My Two Cents" and you can hear it every Sunday on The Scene. Speaking of The Scene, our show with OverlorD and Luna Dementia has been moved to Sunday, June 5th, so see you then.

5/3/05 - Well I guess the guys are too tired to update their rant so since I have nothing to do :( I'll do it for them.
The final mixing was done last night at the Red Room for their 5 song demo. If you want a copy see us at the show on the 20th or email us and we'll get it to you. It's AWESOME!
Light practice schedule this week - unsure of when and the next show will be the Orange Blossom Festival on the 20th in De-Land.
Clips for the new songs will be up on the website shortly so check back!
Later L

4/28/05 - Again, long time between updates. Live with it! Stemm Cell is hittin' the studio, (Sean "Cannon" Shannon's Red Room,) on Sunday and Monday nights. We will be re-working some stuff, and recording some brand new tracks as well. Our new CD should be ready for our show at The Orange Blossom Music Festival on May 20th, and for 95.7 WHOG's "The Scene" with OverlorD and Luna Dementia on May 29th. Check out the shows link for details on both shows.

4/22/05 - Long time between updates. Sorry. Not much to report. Tickets are on sale for the Orange Blossom Music Festival at www.ssa.cc. Check our shows link for our set time. It looks like the 95.7 The Hog's Scene show featuring Stemm Cell, OverlorD and Luna Dementia is going to happen. The date for the show is Sunday, May 29th. Talk about gig neck...

4/18/05 - Solid practice time last night. Tuesday is next. See you there.

4/11/05 - Great show at Finnegans last night. A few equipmental mishaps could not stop a great set by Stemm Cell. Thanks to Tattoo Todd and Tim Finnegan for continuing to support local music. Next on the schedule for Stemm Cell is a visit to the studio for some long past due new material. Next show on the schedule is the Orange Blossom Music Festival on May 20th, and possibly another Finnegans gig before that.

4/6/05 - In regards to the inquiries on the message board about new photos and downloadable music: Fact is, we are in the process of preparing to go into the studio really soon, ("you're always preparing, just go!".) As far as new photos go, I'M SURE we'll have the photos from The Hustler show with Shitty Rogers up any day now...

4/01/05 - Stemm Cell's performance day and time are now set for the SSA Orange Blossom Music Festival. We will be playing on Friday, May 20th at 5:30PM on Stage 2. More details of the actual location of the OBMF will be posted soon.

3/30/05 - Sorry for not updating for a couple of days. The show at The Hustler went well. Got to spend time with friends and play the set. Working on some new material, and getting ready for the next show, which is on April 10th at Finnegans in Flagler Beach. We should have the pictures from The Hustler up soon. Check the Photos link on the homepage for updates soon.

3/24/05 - BREAKING NEWS: Stemm Cell will be playing on Saturday night at The Hustler, 810 North Miramar Avenue in Indiatlantic. We will go on between 10 and 10:30, followed by Shitty Rogers & The Pitbulls. Yes, that's what I said! We have been looking forward to playing this venue, so wish us luck, or better off, make it down there on Saturday.

3/21/05 - Next show is Sunday, April 10th at Finnegan's Beachside Pub with Lost In Progress and Cabal. We have a ton of balls in the air, lines in the water, etc, so keep coming back for updates.

3/18/05 - TGIF - Hey, have you ever seen a bunch of 60-65 year old women dance to Enter Sandman? Well, I have! Last night at Finnegans. The place was packed to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and man was there a very diverse crowd out there! The cover band 'The Hitmen' provided the Metallica, and Tim Finnegan provided the green beer. Why didn't I get any? Do you actually have to ask for green beer on St. Patty's Day? I'm guessing yes. We had this extremely intoxicated man entertaining us between 'Hit Men' sets, and he DID NOT disappoint! He ended up being chased by the bouncers and tossed out onto A1A around 10:00. Other than that guy, fun was had by all. Oh, Stemm Cell's next show is April 10th at the very same Finnegans. We go on at 9:00, followed by Lost In Progress and Cabal. See you there...

3/16/05 - Um, Moth To A Flame is down 3 spots on the www.aiiradio.net charts to #16! You must vote EVERY week before Wednesday morning! Next show is at Finnegans Flagler Beach on April 10th at 9:00PM. This is another Tattoo Todd's "The Scene". We will be sharing the stage with Lost In Progress and Cabal. "The Scene" is really starting to build up steam, so come out to a show so you can be one of those who say "I was there when it just a little local show"...

3/14/05 - Great show at Calico Jacks with Voodoo Hodown on Friday night. Much fun had by all. Look for V.H. on Tattoo Todd's The Scene really soon. Light schedule for the band in the upcoming weeks, but we will be playing Tattoo Todd's show at Finnegans on April 10th, so be there. More tomorrow...

3/11/05 - Ready or not, we'll be at Calico Jacks East Orlando tonight with Voodoo Hodown. I hear we're going to have a pretty good friends turnout, so let's do it. We go on at 9:30. Check out today's Daytona Beach News Journal. There is a great write-up about Tattoo Todd and his "The Scene" show. Congrats to Todd. Looks like his dedication is finally paying off.

UPDATE 3/9/05 - We got a last minute request to fill in, so we will be playing with Voodoo Hodown at Calico Jack's in East Orlando this Friday night. We will go on at 9:30. This is a free show.

3/9/05 - The Sleeping With Sybil show is not going to happen. More guitar player woes for SWS. Working on something else though. Should have an update by the end of the day right here...

3/8/05 - We are lining up a show with Sleeping With Sybil for April 1st. The show will be listed on the "Shows" link when it's confirmed. Practice resumes this week. Lots of new material to work on. See everyone out there soon...

3/3/05 - Lots of things in the works for the band as we recover from the best experience we've had to date. Keep coming back for updates and news. Moth To A Flame is still competing on the www.aiiradio.net charts. It's sitting at lucky #13.

3/2/05 - Well, it's been 3 days since the whirlwind that I like to call "O-Rock Weekend", and quite honestly, I'm getting restless. Good news: It doesn't look like a certain drummer will need surgery. Just rest. Check back for more riveting Stemm Cell news tomorrow...

2/28/05 - Wow.....what a weekend! An OROCK interview on Thurs, a set at HOB on Sat., and an appearance in front a huge, energetic crowd at Orlando's Fire Up the Night! (whew!) I would like to take time to give some HUGE "Thank You!"(s) First, and most importantly, to our families who have done nothing but support us every step of the way through these past few weeks (and entire last year for that matter!). Second, (and critically) the hundreds who came out to see us this weekend. What an honor it was to perform for you....I hope you give us the opportunity to do so again. Finally, thanks to those who were essential in making this possible: Ken Rinaldi and all those with the Orlando Fire Conference, Bobby Smith and Mel Taylor at O-ROCK 105.9, & Ben and Lindsey from the National Production Group. On a strictly personal note....thanks to my bandmates for sticking with, and believing, in me. I hope I have done you proud. And there is no f-ing way that I could have enjoyed this experience so much without my brother, Sean, who always, without fail, has my back! Thank you bro! OK, 'nuff said! You all get the picture!

2/24/05 - Tune in tonight to Mel Taylor's Show as she interviews Sluggo & Dan!! 9PM. 105.9 O-Rock.
Also please go to the home page and check out the Champions of Rock Commercial. Hopefully tomorrow we can add tonight's interview to our list.
Good Luck Guys - Say something nice about us - your favorite fans. :)
2/23/05 - Don't know what to say but thanks to Mel Taylor and Bobby Smith for the exposure on O-Rock. We were played again last night, and Mel mentioned the band and the web site like a million times. Listen tonight between 9 and 10 to hear us again, then listen tomorrow night between 9 and 10 for our in-studio interview with Mel. Get your tickets for The Champions Of Rock at The House Of Blues for this Friday night at hob.com or ticketmaster.com, or just pay at the door on Friday night. Check out our home page for info on Saturday's "Fire Up The Night" show on Wall St.

2/22/05 - Hope everyone was listening to Mel Taylor's show last night on O-Rock 105.9. Mel played one of our songs and promoted the Champions Of Rock show this Friday, and the "Fire Up The Night" show this Saturday. Listen every night this week at 9:20 or so. Mel will be featuring us all week. Also, tune in at 9:00PM on Thursday night for a live in studio interview with Mel.

2/21/05 - The Radio Ads for the Champions Of Rock at the House Of Blues have hit the O-Rock 105.9 airwaves. We are just 4 plus days away from the show, and we are getting ready. Wish us luck. As a matter of fact, you can do that by signing our Guest Book, or leaving a message on our Forum. We'll see everyone this weekend in Orlando.

2/17/05 - Moth To A Flame moved from #35 to # 8 on the www.aiiradio.net Top 40 this week! Keep voting for it. Though we already have a song in Aiiradio's Hall Of Fame, we've never had a #1. Let's get it there. Upcoming schedule has The Champions Of Rock at The House Of Blues on Friday, February 25th, (set time for Stemm Cell is 6:40PM,) then the "Fire Up The Night" Orlando Firefighter's Event the next night on Wall Street in downtown Orlando. It will only cost you $5.00 to get in.

2/14/05 - All of us here in the Stemm Cell family would like to give a huge congratulations to Sluggo, (Doug the bass player,) for a job extremely well done last night at Finnegans. In case you've been under a rock for the past 2 weeks, Tim has left the band, and Doug was crazy enough to pick up the singing duties. Last night at Finnegans was our first show with Doug on vocal and what can we say? Doug stepped up and delivered. Thanks to Tattoo Todd, and the guys from Feedback for your kind words and encouragement. It really means a lot to us. The next time we play, it will be on the House Of Blues stage. Tickets are still available at www.hob.com, (search "Champions Of Rock") or at www.ticketmaster.com.

2/11/05 - Moth To A Flame debuted on the www.aiiradio.com chart at #35 this week. Go there, vote, and push it up the chart. Finnegan's this Sunday with Ed McGurdy and Feedback. It's a Tattoo Todd/95.7 The Hog show. We go on at 9:00, no cover. Listen to "The Scene" at 8:00 before the live show. The Champions Of Rock at The House Of Blues is only 2 weeks away. Tickets are on sale at www.hob.com or ticketmaster.com. Stemm Cell goes on at 6:40PM sharp. The following day we will be playing the Orlando Firefighter's Conference on Wall St., Downtown Orlando. Check the SHOWS link for more details. Stay tuned to 105.9 ORock for details on both shows.
