news news news news kick in emergency has broken up. we'll miss them immensely :/news news news news

04::27::03 - the show last night was a blast and all the other bands were really freakin good. mikey's moon tower actually turned out to be a really cool place to play, despite the disgusting smell. thanks again to dustin for filling in on the bass guitar; he'll be playing with us on may 17 as well. on a more somber note, last night was beckerstead's last show. their originality and hilarity will be greatly missed. - joe
04::18::03 - with a lot of luck, we've found a replacement bassist for 2 shows on april 26 and hopefully may 17. the lucky bassist is dustin yocum of tomorrow twice gone. talk about a party. we're also thinking about covering "the boys of summer" by don henley. good times.
04::15::03 - yes, it's been a long time since this website has seen an update. all apologies to the 4 people who will see this page. so, we played a show at st. elmo about 4 weeks ago with beckerstead and evil step twin. needless to say, it was definitely a great time. we've gotten a few offers to play some more shows, but unfortunately we probably will have to turn down both of them because of band members having prior plans. *cough*trackmeet*cough*. . . that's all for now. -tascha
03::23::03 - hey, everyone. the show last night with horshack, tomorrow twice gone, and the livingston project was an absolute success in so many ways! we aren't in debt which is great, we raised enough money to pay each band plentifully, and we rocked the heezy. unfortunately, horshack got 2 flat tires on the way here from st louis, but luckily they still made it to play lastly. the free cookies and ghetto juice were definitely an awesome idea. we'll definitely have to use that in the future. we ended up selling 3o something cd's, which is awesome. billy madison is on tv now so that's all that will be posted about the show, as if it weren't enough.
truthfully yours, chickens mcgee.

03::10::03 - we have one picture up! it's not even of the whole band. . .but it's a start!

03::09::03:: - hey everyone! last night's show was a hit! unfortunately, our set was decreased to fifteen minutes right before the show started. but we still managed to sell out of our demo "songs from the well." if anyone reading this wants to snag one, contact us at stealing_second@hotmail.com or leave a message on the board. that's all for now!

03::05::03:: - we've got a possible show coming up with st louis area bands so many dynamos, the invitation, and kick in emergency. date and place TBA.

02::28::03:: - last night we recorded the majority of a demo that should be out and about before march 8. it will be called "songs from the well". you can probably snag one up for a buck at our upcoming shows! songs on the demo will be last day, letterbox, not far gone, and a brave new world. that's all for today.

02::25::03:: - holy crap. don't you just love websites whose news, front page, and shows page all have the same exact information on them? well, you're in luck! THIS ONE DOES TOO! sorry. : ) i'm working on something more original at the moment. *sigh*

::02::21::03:: - stealing second finally has a website. it's under severe construction right now, obviously, but it's got all the main information you need. also, we've just confirmed a show for march 22 at the effingham rec center with tomorrow twice gone, horshack, and possibly the livingston project. more info soon.
