Epic Records is proud to announce the October 2 release of No Prayer For The Dying, the long-awaited new album from one of the World's premier heavy rock bands, IRON MAIDEN. No Prayer For The Dying is their ninth album, and f irst in two-and-1/2-years. It marks the debut of new guitarist Janick Gers. Other than that, the line-up of Maiden remains unchanged: Bruce Dickinson-vocals, Dave Murray-Guitar, Steve Harris-Bass, and Nicko McBrain-Drums. The ten songs are guaranteed to satisfy all lovers of passionate, intelligent, hard driving rock music, while staying true to the original ethos that "Iron Maiden's gonna get ya wherever you are!"

No Prayer For The Dying marks Iron Maiden's musical entry into the '90s, with a freshness and sense of direction that few acts could equal on the first album, let alone their ninth! The songs, once again produced by "sixth member" Martin Birch, send out a direct signal that the band has never been more hungry, nor more able to deliver the goods, than now.

No Prayer ... was recorded in February 1990 at Steve Harris' barn in England by the Rolling Stone Mobile. Originally intending only to rehearse there, the band felt so good about the material, the relaxed atmosphere, and their playing that they ended up recording the whole album right there in the barn! Their heaviest album in years, most tracks were recorded in 1 or 2 takes, giving No Prayer For The Dying a great live feel to it.

As one of the'80s premier hard rock bands (every album is either gold or platinum, every tour a sell-out!), expect Iron Maiden to rip into the'90s with the same aggression and success, beginning with No Prayer For The Dying!
