When I was young, they took it from me
With the rules and the penalties, I could never be free
My life to them was just a number
The harder I fought, the more I fell under
My cries and my screams were unheard by all
They made me feel so dumb and so small
Why couldn’t they just leave me alone
Why did they take me and turn me to stone
They are to blame for everything that is wrong
I am so sick of this game that I’ve played for so long
I’ve lost so much because of their plan
That now I don’t even know who I am
I was drug in just like all the rest
Kicking and fighting as we try to resist
It is the system that brings us down
At the end of the tunnel no light can be found
Why couldn’t they just leave me alone
