Since you know your hometown better than anyone else, give materials away at places where people just like yourself hang out. In case you're stumped or are looking for some ideas, here's a list of places that are great for handing out promo stuff:
WHAT IS A "STREET-TEAM"?
Street Teams are comprised of fans that help expose their favorite band to friends and fellow music listeners in their hometown. Members use promotional materials like Samplers, Stickers, Video, Flyers and Posters to give away to people just like themselves. Additionally, the team spreads the word throughout the online world via bulletin board postings, mp3 sharing, emails, and radio station requests.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BECOME A MEMBER?
All we ask is that you use the items to reach out to music fans like yourself, promote the band, and let us know about what you are doing by posting feedback. Bring e-mail lists to concerts, work, school, sport-events, stores…wherever you can find potential fans.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
You'll have a chance to win cool prizes throughout the year, like autographed CDs by the band, plus: Access to the Street Team Fanclub (where you get news & music before everyone else). Special promotional items exclusive to members are: Fanclub T-shirts, stickers, copy of our 2002 debut record "Starbound", free tickets to shows and backstage passes.

IS THERE AN "E-TEAM"?
All Street Team Members are expected to promote the band online by posting info about the band in chat rooms, sending MP3's of the band's music or link to your friend's sites. Please supply a link to the band's website so new fans can visit and listen to their music. Please do not spam sites with multiple posts.

DO I HAVE TO SEND FEEDBACK?
Yes. Your feedback is extremely important. Tell us what you've done, where you've done it, whom you've met, and what they thought. You can post this info on the Fanclub Bulletin Board where it can be shared with the rest of the team. If you aren't able to do that, send an email directly to OTHERCIDE with your 411. We encourage your feedback so that we can see what's happening in your town and how you're creating a buzz in your area. We also want to see photos of your work that will be used for the Fanclub. Photos should be emailed directly to Adam Raven (Bassist/Webmaster).
