If you’ve ever watched wrestling, chances are you’ve heard of Ric Flair. Described as one of the absolute best wrestlers ever, this 3-DVD set was long overdue. I had to buy it. See, this DVD set sold out of its first printing in two days. I looked for weeks to no avail. Luckily, I stumbled across a copy right before Christmas 2003.
The sets chronicles his best feuds (and possibly some of the best in history). Then, one match is chosen and shown in its entirety. My personal favorite is the Royal Rumble 1992 where he lasted well over an hour to become the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. Also included are his matches with Ricky Steamboat (off the friggin’ hook), Barry Windham, Sting, Macho Man Randy Savage, the list goes on. This is a true wrestling fan’s wet dream come true.
The extras alone are worth the price. They include the buildups of the feuds, interviews, forewords by Ric himself, and even his very first match in the WWF (then the WWWF) back in 1976. If there is one wrestling DVD to ever check out, this is the one, folks.
This compilation gets 4.25 WOOOOOO!s out of 5.
