My Band History

Clowd

My first band featuring Adam Ricci on guitar/vocals, Johnny Derango on bass, me on drums, and Alan Ricci on keyboard. Later, we added Joey Morrow on lead guitar. Unfortunately, the band broke up 3 weeks after he joined.

Duct Tape

Mike O’Kier on guitar/vocals, Robin Mellen on bass, and me on drums. We eventually parted ways with Johnny, and then Mike and I formed:

Old School Dew

This time, Robin Mellen played bass. Named after a old Mountain Dew can Mike had (surprise!). Of course, we all love Mountain Dew.

Tippy Mojo

John Lemrise on lead guitar/vocals, Erica Koehler on rhythm guitar/vocals, Cory Bengtsen on bass, and me on drums yet again. Named after John’s and Cory’s dogs, this band was probably the most fun I ever had in a band.

Capn. Limpwrist

My debut on rhythm guitar featured John Lemrise again on lead guitar/vocals, Robin Mellen on bass, and Nate Endicott on drums. We wrote like 15 songs like a concept album about the adventures of our favorite fictitious pirate, but we only got to play 2 of them during the one show we played.

C.H.U.D.

Basically, this was Tippy Mojo with Mike O’Kier replacing John Lemrise as lead guitarist/vocalist. I played the most shows with this group than any other.

Fetal Genius

My most notorious group featuring Kroe on vocals and some guitar and Curt Kerchner on rhythm guitar. Then we added Buzzy on bass but he became our lead guitarist. So we recruited Shawn Cummings of Rebekah’s Tape fame on bass, but due to time constraints we mutually parted ways. Then Ricky Sipovic played bass for us for like a week or two before going into the army. So I got ahold of my life-long friend Jeni Etheridge to fulfill her dream of playing in a real band. The problem is at this point the band barely existed, as it is today. We’re still around, but not really. We're always sorta still around.

Deuce And A Half

This band started out as Dead Chainsaw Parts. Featuring Dustin Freeman (former Rebekah’s Tape drummer) playing guitar and singing half the songs and drumming the other half, me doing the same thing as Dustin, and Owen Cummings (current drummer of Rebekah’s Tape) on bass, we played our first show 11/1/03.

Then the name changed to Deuce And A Half, Tony Modro originally came in to fill in for Owen, then became our rhythm guitarist, then Owen stopped showing up for practices, so now he's out and Ryan Tolliver's in on bass. Then Ryan disappeared for some unknown reason (and also disappeared from Dustin's wedding party, just odd), and Tony disappeared too. Dustin and I still have plans to keep it together, but who knows how that'll work out.

Four Degree Sunday

I joined this "band in progress" featuring Cole Huettemann and Jeremy Wrotny. I loved this band. It's everything that the previously mentioned bands are not. We're more mellow and focused more on solid songwriting than looking cool (i.e. Fetal Genius). 4DS ended due to the next band being created.

Fire Thru Theory

Fire Thru Theory started as Adoration, a Christian rock/popish band that featured Heather Robbins on vocals, Cole Huettemann on guitar, Kris Huettemann on bass, and Cazden Lash on drums. Samantha Arellano (Cole and Kris's oldest kid) was added on backup vocals. Eventually, Caz (the son of a local pastor) was out, and I sorta snuck in on drums for a while. The band name changed to Fire Thru Theory and took on a harder rock approach, covering bands like Flyleaf and others. However, since I moved away to school, I obviously can't keep up my duties with them, so now Nick Arellano (Cole and Kris's second oldest) is doing well on drums (I'm sorta not really the backup guitarist, only if I'm up there and actually know the material haha).

As of now, I'm not involved in any projects but still pitch in on occasion to Fire Thru Theory's songwriting/production.
