Introduced in 1979, The Atari 800 was a professional computer featuring 48K of RAM, a full stroke keyboard, slots for memory cards, and a 'right cartridge' port for expansion purposes. This computer would remain in production until 1982 when it was replaced by the Atari 1200XL.
