Tear Dam
The Kleenex box was passed down the aisle.
Emptied before it reached me
But I didn’t need any.
The salt water drained into the back of my heart
While everyone else’s fed the river
That flowed through the valley of their faces.
Uncoaxable, it made my heart swell
I cried inwards.
Notes on this poem: I didn't like how this came out but I got too tired to really care. I took out a part that I really wanted in but didn't fit with the idea. Oh the agony!
