Scotty Gomez was born in Anchorage Alaska with father Carlos E. Gomez ,Who is a construction worker, mother Dalia, who sold mezican food to support the family and 2 sisters. He now resides in West Orange, New Jersey. He spends his off season in Anchorage though. His father Carlos was one of ten children born to migrant Mexican farm workers in CA. His mother Dalia was born in Columbia and raised briefly in Brooklyn, NY.
Scotty learned hockey at a young age by watching University of Alaska and began playing hockey at age five. Scott watched his favorite player former Devil and U. Alaska alumni M. Peluso win the Stanley Cup in 95.
Scott seldom dated in high school. "I always had the excuse that my mom and sisters were mean to the girls. But they deny it like crazy"
Upon signing his 3 year $2 million NHL contract, Scott had his parents house remodeled. He recked it by smacking the puck against the walls all the time as a child. When he was drafted he became the first-ever Hispanic player drafted in first round and 18th Alaskan ever drafted.
Scott is an outgoing person. But when it come to women, he's shy. He sends his friends over to talk to them. Aww how cute.
Scott proudly exclaims that he still has all his. teeth.
Scott played a small role in August 31, 2000 episode of One Life to Live. He enjoys watching tennis. And in 2001 he was voted one of Americas top 50 bachelors by People Magazine.
Scott's favorite food is mexican, favorite show is Friends, movie Robin Hood and his favorite is game Madden 2000.
