Cotts gets First Win
(August 12th)Neal Cotts pitched an average baseball game, but did get his first win of his career tonight.  Jerry Manuel said b4 the game started "I don't remember him.  It's sad, I don't know anything about him and he's starting for me tonight."  In the bottom of the third inning, he got into trouble when, with 1 out, he walked 3 straight batters, which brought in a run.  He then got pulled for Danny Wright, who got the last two outs and helped the White Sox stay ahead for a 10-4 victory.  From what I saw of Neal Cotts, I give him a B- .

Sox Lose To Angels

(August 11th)Although the Sox lost to the Angels 10-8, the score doesn't tell the whole story.  Our Sox fought hard in the ninth inning, getting 6 hits, a homerun, and scoring 4 runs.  Bartolo Colon had a sub par night on the mound, pitching in 7 innings, and allowing 6 Earned Runs.  The 9th inning homerun was Frank Thomas's 28th of the year.

SOX FINALLY ALONE IN FIRST PLACE

(August 8th)With their win tonight against the Athletics, the White Sox finally ousted the Royals from first place supremacy.  Although the Royals are only a half game behind, they are behind, and this is the first time all season that the White Sox have been in first place by themselves.  The AL Central race, which will likely come down to the last week of baseball, may now be right where the Sox want it to be, and they have surely raised their confidence level as to what they can truly achieve when playing the top game they can play.  Go Sox!

Sox Take Series

(August 6th)Sox take series from Kansas City 2 games to 1, with Bartolo Colon's win today.  The Royals fought hard in the clutch(9th inning) but their 3 runs weren't enough to overcome the White Sox.  The final was 4-3.
