Beautiful, Beautiful
Music & Lyrics: James Haworth Once a little story ‘bout a man who met a girl in a little bar in west LA
First he got to drinkin’, saw, and then he got to thinkin’
What a pretty girl over that way
He knew it off right that tonight was his night cause he rehersed his words early that day
But struck by her grace and the eyes in her face, he couldn’t think of what he was to say
But he said
I got sunshine in my back pocket waitin’ to rise
And you got a rainbow that’s achin’ to take the skys
And if you put the two together then what does it make
We’ll have love, love, love
On a beautiful day
The girl saw him walkin’ but with all the men gawkin’, she knew how to play the game
She looked him up and down a bit, didn’t really give a shit, and thought just more of the same
But she took another stare, and on his way she caught a glare of the look of wow in his face
Now he’s almost here, and what’s another beer, but for a second he just stood in place.
But then said
I got sunshine in my back pocket waitin’ to rise
And you got a rainbow that’s achin’ to take the skys
And if you put the two together then what does it make
We’ll have love, love, love
On a beautiful day
A second went away, she sorta smiled in a way that she never ever smiled before
Well, if that’s how you feel, then you got yourself a deal, so come join me on the dance floor
But you gotta get up to get down she said; just some simple steps to loose your head
And they went on to live the happy life because of what he said
I got sunshine in my back pocket waitin’ to rise
And you got a rainbow that’s achin’ to take the skies
And if you put the two together then what does it make
We’ll have love, love, love
On a beautiful day
