Derek's Review
I got this one years ago. I listened to it once and it's been on the shelf ever since. You may wonder why I'm now going to put this disc in my CD player. In essence, this disc is competing with playing time with all 700+ CDs in my entire collection. You would think that this album probably sucks because I played it only once, but the truth is I honestly have no recollection of any of the songs on this album and kind of want to give it a sympathy play.

This album is made up of mostly melodic rockers in a very early Dokken style. "In The Face Of Danger" is a melodic rocker with a sing-along chorus. This is one of the album's better tracks. The lead singer, Steve Snyder, has a very smooth voice which carries well over the music. "Me Against The World" starts off with an almost Badlands acoustic instrumental before turning into a Lizzy Borden-ish rocker (ironically, Lizzy Borden also has a song with the same title and a similar sound). The cover of the Beatles' "Revolution" is a bit ironic because it sounds exactly like Enuff Z'Nuff doing the cover on their live album Live. The vocals sound totally different than the rest of the album and I'm not quite sure why this song is here in the first place, because while the album is melodic, there is almost a slight power-metal vibe going on. Many of these songs sound very similar in style which kind of drags on after awhile. It's not that the songs are poorly written or performed, but without diversity on this album, it tends to be something I wouldn't listen to often. "Revolution" seemed like a breath of fresh air just because it sounds way different than the rest of the album. Guitarist Michael Harris is all over this album and guitar fans would be advised to find this release for his contribution.

This album has two different covers:
