Back from the original lineup are lead vocalists St. Jerrod Figgs and Christi Neilson, guitarist Wendell Rogers and drummer Chad Gravitt. The new funkateers are a wealth of talent from all musical walks. Bassist Mike Roberts has played with the likes of Amazing Grace, guitar god Ben Lacy and Anika Minor. "Mike is truly the most amazing bassist G-Funk has EVER had", says Wendell. At keyboards, multi talented musician Jeff "Cons" Conley was added. Cons attended Eastern Ky University as a percussion music major and has performed with the likes of Chaos Waiting and Channel Z-row. "Cons is the keyboardist all synth oriented bands dream about having", adds Chad. With the addition of the 3 piece horn section (formerly of the funk band Inner Vision Collision), "The Hornosexuals" will have G-Funk smokin'! "These horn players have been together for years. They travel with their own wardrobe case for God's sake! If you like Earth, Wind and Fire's horn section, wait 'til you see these guys! They are outrageous!" adds Chad.
There is no denying the fact that this new 9 piece lineup of musicians and songs will again reign supreme as the region's most popular cover band. Imagine G-Funk with its original twist on the songs everyone wishes they could hear live and never have...
