FYI

On the trip above we rented Atlas 1033 snow shoes . These have spring-loaded bindings and they also keep your foot in the right position no matter what terrain you are on . I recently picked up a pair of Atlas 1233 snowshoes . They have about the same weight limit but the bindings are alittle different. When picking a pair of snowshoes you should keep in mind that most weight limits for them include your pack and gear . So if you're like me and you are about 170 - 180 lbs you want shoes with al least a 250 lbs limit (if you will be hiking and camping ..like in the above picture)
