everyone around me is hurting
wish there was something i could do
i hope they know God is beside them
He knows what they’re going through
i sometimes can’t help but feel
in some way responsible
for this pain that has befallen them
i want them to know
this life
it just seems so unfair
yet God is with us always
even though it may seem like He’s not there
He hurts for us
and died for us
has the best in store for us
its just so hard to conceive this purpose
we’re in this altogether
despite this angry weather
of circumstances raining down on us
but if we continue searching truth
we’re comforted in Your solid proof
that life goes on,
even after it ends
so as we travel this winding road
we take the bumps and turns of this path we chose
and we know in our hearts
that You’re still there.
