how long this night is
waiting for the day to come abroad
sunlight to peek through my windows
shine upon my face
stir me, wake me up
see the dawn of a new day
no more gray
Yet we have become so comfortable in our sleep
we refuse to wake up
stuck in our own dream, our own reality
we forgot about the real reality
step outside your social circle,
find another to spread your words
our feet speak mightier than our tongue.
We rest so comfortably in, our, beds
We find the relief of worldly burdens in the dream,
Can’t hardly open our eyes to, the truth,
So wake me from this dreaded sleep,
get up from this spiritual coma.
Let the new day, the sunshine come through
Make me alive, make me anew in you
Let the new day, the sunshine come through
Carpe diem, my friend
We live another day to someday die...
