Blue Angels...
yup... That's who we are. Blue Angels, the seniors of Mary Help Of Christians School, Canlubang Laguna, Batch 2002-2003.
But why Blue Angels? What's the reason behind this name? The deeper meaning of it all? Well, it goes like this...
All of us were thinking of a really cool name that will suite us seniors... Blue Archers? Nah! Blue Dragons? Too sloppy! Blue-pers? Hahaha, funny! Then it hit us, what's that program with Tado and Erning in it? Strange brew! We changed the "brew" with "blue" coming up with the name "Strange Blue". Sure, it sounded astig to our ears. But sadly, our dear principal rejected the name. Why? It sounded negative raw. So we racked our brains again... That's it we've had it. We can't think of anything else. Our last option was "Blue Angels". At first, it sounded jologz to the ears of our other classmates but it's better rather than wearing a plain white tee with no name at all. What've we got to lose? So finally, we agreed on it. We are the Blue Angels.
Hey, ain't that just the story behind the name? The color blue is often assigned to the seniors symbolizing their maturity, patience, and peace of mind. Blue contributes to the harmony of the colors. As seniors, we should bring harmony to the lower years. An angel is said to be a heavenly being distinct to follow God and do good. The word "angel" often gives rise to the "goody-two shoes" thing. But honestly, we are not angels ourselves (devils would be more appropriate, I think. Just kiddin'! Baka magalit si Sr. Tita. Peace! ).
But beneath the "stubborn and free-spirited" nature of ours, we have the potentials to bring good to others. We believe we can be "angels" in our own ways.So if ever you hear the name "Blue Angels"... hey, that's us!
