They opened the doors (dont ask bout time, oz will hep ya there) , think about 7 or somethin but not sure..

There was an describable excitmenet in the crowed, and thats biggest fuckin gnr crowd ive seen, the entire arena was packed with gnr fans..funny site, lots of em had bandanas and so did i, Del James had a run to check out the site, and he shaved his head, no1 seemed to reconize him or saw him except me..i knew it was him cuz he heard me informin Oz about it and he sorta looked a bit but kept walkin

**Guns N Roses SUPRISIGLY came on not too late onstage, infact i thought they came on time..mayeb 30 min late or somethin***

as the "I BELIEVE..." video started..the crowed sort of chickened out, lol, naah, lots of em of em were just waitin, includin me...and than

'WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE ::

oh my god, i couldnt believe it..but it was true, I mr.Belend, saw mr.Axl Rose from a distant of what? 4/5 meters? every1 went nuts and started jumpin, i idiotilcy lost myself at that point and was screamin my lungs out n bangin my head. the song sounded PERFECT, everythin was hit at the right place & timin. axls voice sounded like Appetite, Robin Finck seemed SO much confidant in what he was doin, i closed my eyes a few times and i could hear appetite playin on my cd, except, LIVE, its somethin completely different, its a BOMB, that explodes right in your face, like manysaid b4, lots of power and proffesionalisim

ITS SO EASY ::

they went directly into it after wttj finished, and that song was just screamed by every1 who happend to be at the show, axl was runnin all round the place and there was some kind of a "cool aggression" vibe goin on..

MR.BROWNSTONE ::

At this point, Richard Fortus stole my attention, he did a BRILLIANT job and so did the rest of the band, one thing that i will always say no matter who plays Mr.Brownstone. That song was MADE to be played by Slash & Izzy, at this time i really knew that Slash was gone..and its a huge loss people, i dont think any1 is capable of puttin the right feel to the licks slash gave to that song..but despite that, the song seemed more energetic and aggressive than the original, i really digged that.

LIVE N LET DIE ::

the Dizzy & Chriss section took the song to another level, Axls voice..my jaw dropped and was like "this guy, is the best fuckin vocalist ive seen in my life"... These very fuckin high screams..its undescribable and i will leave it here. besides that Robin Finck stole my attention and i was sold, this guy is an amazing guitarist..He really plays with lots of emotion.

YOU COULD BE MINE ::

AXL AXL AXL!!!!..mother-f*cker..once again i was blown away by how good he sounds, its dangerous. His voice is in perfect shape, no mistakes i cought or whatever Richard Fortus, he gave the song the power it needed, and let me tell you one thing, this guy delives ALLOT to the sound of the band. he doest only play right, but he BANGS the strings like hes beating up some1, he has more power than Izzy and is a better guitar player. At this point i decided i am now a complete Richard fan. Ironicly i bought the new Mojo at the airport and theres a Psychedelic Furs article innit.

SWEET CHILD O MINE ::

Absolutley beautifull, and Robin Fink is amazing, hes got this "white faced clowns with a tear" look, and he played again with so much emotion and style, hes got his very own style yet he brought the song home, it just sounded. Richard again shows what hes made off and slams these strings that took the song the high energy towards the end.

NOCKIN ON HEAVENS DOOR ::

I decided to shut up at this point and just enjoy the music. people mentioned that "distant mic"effect thing and he did it again, its sweet!.. compared to Rio, Axls tends to go high as the song progressed to the end. But it might also be the same thing as the effect..i dont know...that song was an emotional one for every1 i think.

OUT TO GET ME ::

RICHARD & ROBIN!!! woohooo!, BANG BANG BANG!, Robin was singing along to the lyrics but not on mic i think, but you could tell that its probably one of his favourite guns tunes. I think im repeatin myself but Axls voice captured the Appetite feel to it perfectly. Here I made eye contact with Robin & Richard.

RHIAD & THE BEDOUINS ::

Forget about Vegas, this song..Live, gives you some real taste of what Chinse Democracy might contain, ofcourse i dont really know, but i just felt it..The combo of Axls voice, Richards "Beat Up" sound, Tommys base, Buckethead & Robin plus all that noise Dizzy & chriss do..its just another bomb, the crowed was sort of quite, but for me, i was quite out of amazement.

MADAGASCAR ::

I was lookin forward to that song out of all new and old songs, but i was slightly dissapointed, like Endo said, i couldnt make out what was exactly happenin, it seemed like every1 was doin his thing seperatly, Dizzy (or Pitman) keyboads seemed to come from a different angle in a not so pleasant way.. and Bucketheads solo at Rio, which btw is my favourite part of the song is no longer there..instead Buckethead solo seemed more chaotic in a bizzar way, but yet melodic..the sound in general of that song dindt click with me so maybe it went wrong or somethin..OR i happend toi be at the wrong spot for this type of song, which is the very first row..perhaps the people far behind could hear better..i dont know..i hope the band does somethin about it cuz its my favourite so far. either way i was singing along and so was quite allot of the people in the crowed to my surprise..me and Axl made eye contact again cuz i was very moved by that song.

BUCKET CHUNKS ::

I wanna learn that too

NOVEMBER RAIN ::

Axl did that piano comedy thing again where hed stop and look at the crowed..but by far, that song was the magical moment of the evenin, just hearin and seeing axl rose live playin November Rain is somethin truelly magical, Robin did an amazing on the bluesy solos, . Richard stood in a corner and started these beautifull "one string at a time" thing,,CLASS!! I mad eye contact with Robin & Richard again, i know its starting to sound corney but to me its fuckin cool to me :)

ROCKET QUEEN ::

dont remember much of that song

CHINESE DEMOCRACY ::

i will dare to say that i was the only one shoutin the lyrics, and guess what? Axl noticed that, Tommy noticed too i think..that was my ego centered moment and i loved evry bit of it :P The song sounded like i sort of expected it, i ahve nothin but good to say about it and so i wont

THE BLUES ::

the slowed down version LIVE sounds very good, the mp3s dont do justice to this song and thats why i wasnt too happy about slowin the song down, cuz i loved the rio speed, but hearin it live, its beautifull. Dizzy showed what hes made off and as i was watchin his playin, i was like "wow, this guy can play"

ACOUSTIC BUCKET SOLO::

i never really gave a fart about Star Wars, nor understood all the hype around it so when i heard this Accoustic solo i was very pleased. very very nice and impressive again by what a person does with a KFC Bucket on his head.

PATIENCE ::

RICHARD!! ok, ill try not to mention him again, but hes on accoustic with Buckethead if i remember corectly, and it ruled big time, though i think i was distracted by the "overblown" secuirity people in front of me.

MY MICHELLE ::

Yups, again, sorry but Robin and Richard stole the show for me, and they rocked out hard on this song, Axl sounds like Appetite here, he learned to sing in a soft way, and improve himself, but he still has that aggressive "Appetite" thing goin on.

NIGHT TRAIN ::

The coolest bit is that they showed a speed film of a camera stuck infront of a movin train, and a fading Axl live image, that was really cool, theres not much to say except that theres more speed and energy goin with this line up.

Also, theres this filmin effect, with lots if cams, like what they did in the Matrix, they filmed Axl & Robin together in that special effect and showed it on the screen

PARADISE CITY ::

WOW, just fuckin amazin man, how they got every1 goin nuts..and at the end, at the precise moment, these fire works exploded, than huge flames you could feel the heat of on your skin..and at the very end, tons and tons of small coulored papers started to fall on us like rain..just a bizar experience watchin them play this live, every1 was shocked and suprised by what they saw, i sayed to this guy next to me "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" cuz thats what it felt like..was really funny

By this time i made the conclusion, Guns N Roses is NOT back, Axl is, Guns N Roses has a new "Birthdate" on its history, its a reborn of a monster that will concuer the world like a dragon

EXTRA SHITT ::

Out Fits

Axl: White Jerecy, Rice 80 or 88 dont remember,red bandana, black leather pants, he looks great, and the braids fit him once you see that tehy actually move, theyre not just stuck there..

Buckethead: dont exactly remember, while i stood on his side of the stage..lol, well..he had a bucket, i think he wore a black suit, didnt see anything yellow anyway

Robin: Circue De Soleil is clearly visable in his outfit, he has braids aswell btw, but some of em are kinda wrapped on his head instead of lose, he had a white suit on, black tye, and a clowns socks folded up all the way, and black shoes.. he looked fuckin COOOOLL!!, and he did his playin with this clowny facial expresions on his face, was really funny

Tommy: white shirt and scotish matirial pants, dont know what theyre called..but very cool, the same ones he had on in tokyo pic with dizzy but blueish colour.

Dizzy: Dont remember but think cd shirt.., but you coulndt miss him banging his head, the hair is great

Chris: cd shirt, and a baseball cap as far as i remember.

Brain: dont remember and couldnt see much of him cuz his "drum dishes" were in my way

Also, theres this filmin effect, with lots if cams, like what they did in the Matrix, they filmed Axl & Robin together in that special effect and showed it on the screen. They also filmed the crowed from the front row..mainly on robins side of the stage, but later came to us and filmed us too. for like 5 seconds!!

Some fuckin drunk idiot through a plastic bottle at Tommy, it didnt hit him, he just laughed it off

Axl speaches, i couldnt hear all of em, but the one i cought up was the one about CD, went somethin along those lines : "ya think we played you some tunes? well these tunes might or might not be on cd"... Than he went on about the album containin 18 tracks and shortly after that he said 10 tracks will be added, think as bonus..thats the best shit i heard

One thing i noticed about axl live, this man is a natural leader, very gifted and he has that "command of the masses" talent that really make him what he is on stage.

Where the @#%$ do I start??

SETLIST   Same as usual, new songs were Madagascar, RATB, CD and the blues

Buckethead also played an acoustic solo as well as his usual electric one.

Finck played extended intros to PC and I think SCOM.       THE BAND

Axl - wore leather pants and white football t-shirt, same as in recent gigs, he was on top form and had a few interesting things to say - more of that later

BH - Same as usual - awesome.

Finck - Wore a white shiny suit with tie, he is so different now to what he was in RIR, so much more confident, he strides round the stage a bit like John Cleese from Monty Python, seems to love playing with GNR.

Fortus - This guy rocks, you cannot help but instantly like him, he puts 100% into every song. His solo for 'Think About You' was brilliant and he played it with total ease.

Brain - Now I was unsure about this guy as a drummer, I didn't really pay attention to him at Leeds and previous to that I was not toO impressed............. well I am now.   I made a point of listening to him and he was totally amazing, the drumming during RATB was as good as drumming gets - this guy is for real.

Stinson, Dizzy, Pitman - All where having fun and were on top form.

IMPORTANT - AXL SPEAKS ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM   He said that none of the new songs will be singles (I am pretty sure he didn't say they would not be on the album as previously reported) he said that CD will be 18 songs and he has 10 leftovers (he didn't say what he would do with these leftovers but he implied that they will be released), and when 'the record company' has decided that this album has run its course he has another 18 track album ready for release, he then joked and said that by the time that one is finished with they should have written the third!

Random Points

1) I think it was during WTTJ or Its so easy, Axl got a KFC bucket from the crowd and wore it, he then looked at BH and laughed

2) At one point AXL undid he pants and dropped them to his ankles, saying 'Its hot in here' his right leg was heavily strapped, he walked around for a bit like this. Now I am not exaggerating when I say that the muscles on his legs were @#%$ huge - I am talking Arnold Schwarzeneggar.

3) Axl had a go at NME, 'well apparently I’m as big as a house' he was doing it in a joking kind of way, he was in a good mood all night.

4) He took off his bandanna for a few songs, his braids were tied back.

5) During one time when he spoke to the crowd (I can't remember what he was saying) He showed Stinson his watch and said 'that was under 4 minutes, does that qualify as a rant, no a rant has got to be over 4 mins' it was funny.

6) Axl mentioned that he knew where he was tonight, which I think was a reference to him saying London during WTTJ at Leeds

7) Axl took the piss, in a very friendly and light hearted way, of the British, 'Apparently you guys don't have ice in your soda - what’s with that??' - Axl was joking the whole night, he comes across to me as a guy with a cool sense of humour.

I got to mention that Axl and Stinson seem like real close mates, they often speak to each other in between songs and just seem to gel well together.

9) When Axl talked about the new album you could tell he was excited and more than anything totally 100% confident in how good the album is.

10) At the end of PC Dizzy knocked one of his keyboards off its stand accidentally.

11) Axl must have been listening to me because the solo for CD was longer, after Finck, BH played a solo too.

I can't remember much else for now, so let me conclude by saying that this band is incredible, the talent in this band is second to none in the history of music. Every member has so much charisma and can play the @#%$ out of GNR songs both old and new. I didn't miss the old band once tonight, and trust me that is saying something.

GNR are going to rule the world again - I have no doubt of that now, none whatsoever.

P.S To be standing 6 meters away from Axl Rose is a bizzare and sureal experience, one which I will treasure and hope to repeat again sometime in the future.

08/26/ SHARON

(Okay my lil review, im no writer *blush* so this was a babbled out to the forum as soon as i got home just thought i would include it ;) )

Their is just sooooooo much to take in , this band really does BLOW YOUR MIND

I didn't take notes this is off the top of head, so not quotes okay

They were AMAZING, i wont go on about the songs cant really add more than people sayd about how well they playd in Leed's but safe as to say the band played with real energy , and Axl's voice is incredible,imo better than ever.Very mezmerizing and beautiful in some songs in particular. KNHD, NR, The Blues, best Rocket Queen iv ever heard hands down.

It was a very powerful and amazingly fun show, both the band and crowd were in great spirit.

Axl had on his black leather pants and sports top, (appart from when the pants were dropped on patience for a while ) Robin had on a white satin suit . The bandana was on and off during the show, Buck was buck with i think it was blue top and his funeral bucket. Oh Axl got someon to throw him a bucket during It's so easy or the very beginning of Mr Brownstone, which he stuck on his head for about a min the threw aside. I had to go out for a while half way through Brownstone so missed what he said before LALD also may have missed the next song i donno (panic attack ) .But dont care what i saw was more than enough as it was, worth every second !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The band really had the crowd eating out their hand singing along to the old classics, ( it was obvious most didnt know the new ones but they went down really well ) .

He thanked NME for the Axl King In Hong Kong article saying it was very nice of them, shame about the rest/others or words to that effect.

He also spoke of CD, and about people saying they cant play any more new songs yet from the album as they already have played enough,BUT that the songs they are playing may or may not wind up on the album which is going to have 18 songs, and another 10 tracks, that he sends off to the record comp and they send back and he sends off again, by the time it's all done who knows uncle Axl may have finished album 3. (again not words to that effect .)

He then joked about his rants asking if it was one, someon told him no it was less than 5 mins and he lol.

He pointed to a banner in the crowd, that sayd something like greece loves you ? (he told us what it sayd but i couldnt hear right)

As i mentioned during patience, which was an awesome version btw, he said it's getting hot in here and at first i thought the shirt was gonna come off, as he kinds pulled at it. Then i realised his pants were at his ankles He kept them their for a min or so singing before running forward and pulling them up belt and stuff hanging out, def a vision to remember

Buck was awesome fron the rio vid , i must admitt i wa expecting awesome, but seeing really is believing. All the guys were, very into things and looked to be having a blast. Their is so much going on on stage it is very hard to take in, even the video imagery is amazing some very poignant and really adds to the show, scenery, people, kids, Elvis lol, symbols, as well as flicking onto faces in the crowd and band members.

I had to leave during nightrain to avoid the stamped on the way out so am just praying i didnt miss anything extra apart from Paradise (me n crowds dont mix well so had to take a chance that nightrain was the second last song again) .*fingers crossed*

Oh yeah the new songs they played were Madagascar, Rhiad, CD, The Blues. The Blues and CD were show my favs of the new ones live tonight. CD really seemed to grabb the crowd, just so much energy.

I dont think i can pick a show highlight it really was ALL AWESOME. Already cant wait to see them again
