BEFORE I START THE REVIEW LET ME TELL U GUNS N ROSES ARE FUCKING BACK, AND PLAYED AS WELL IF NOT BETTER THAN ANY BOOTLEG I HAVE EVER HEARD.

The day started when NOFX came on stage and said that they only wanted to play Leeds and not reading because Guns n Roses were playing and that they were the best rock n roll band on the planet, at least AFD was, and then the guitar player tried to copy axl's voice, although he sang a bit of patience which the crowd laffed at!

Then it was time for the main act, I have pics of all the band members, the drum kit, and all that the stage etc but have not had time to develop them, and i also have some I think recorded on minidisc which i can try to get on MP3 but i am goin to london 2morrow so wont be for a few days.

Guns n roses scheduled to play, and start on the prog at 10, but did we get it at 10?? NO, it was a mere 11.13 before we got the opening film which was similar to the one in rio, no uncle axl bit, just the bit about i love pain, and torture etc etc, and Im glad it came then, as the crowd were shouting come on motherf***ers and all that, I felt there was gonna be a riot!!!!!!!!!!

But sure enuff the show started and ALL of about 65000 people were crammed into the stadium and silence as we watched, it was the Luther King vid same as played before. At the End wen it said you son of a bitch, Finck appeared, then Buckethead, and then the opening riff to WTTJ which had the biggest cheer I have ever heard, then on came AXL Rose WE ALL KNEW THIS WAS IT, the crowd went Wild, all 65000 +.

These are what each of them was wearing -

Axl Rose - Rose 99 black baseball top, and black leather pants and white trainers, and a red bandana, no changes throughout whole show!

Brain - Baseball cap and a red baseball top cant pick out the number or the shorts either.

Finck- Silvery shoes, tight black jeans and a black matching coat, and a black t-shirt too, little white face paint, and during one song wore a black hat similar to worn in baseball

Buckethead - KFC bucket with funeral, at start of show yellow raincoat as in RIO with blue jeans, and then changed to Black coat and matching black trousers. Also during one song, came out with a plastic head of a man which he placed on top of bucket.

Stinson - Checkered Suit, then top came off to reveal a guns n roses star like IZZYJIM has on a grey vest

Reed - Black leather pants and black vest with gnr star on (no changes)

Pittman - Not TOO sure but i remeber hat and blue baseball top! (no changes)

Fortus - Jeans, looked really cool like Bernard bulter, very energetic changed tops only

As i said they opened with WTTJ and they absolutely NAILED the fucker, as they did through the whole night with every song that they played that night!!! Axl rose's voice was absolutely amazing and being the biggest GNR fan i am serious in saying that it could even be better than before, he can still nail the long screeching intro to WTTJ, which was complimented by the tightness of the whole band. AS soon as they started to play, I KNEW GNR WERE BACK AND AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN BEFORE!

Crowd participation was immense i lost my voice nearly singing every word as loud as i could, and when the song ended, the crowd went absolutely mental, people knew that what they had been waiting for had arrived AXL WAS BACK!!!!

AS people may know I am the biggest Slash fan there is, and i love him to bits, however, i am not saying that i would not have liked to have seen him, far from it, it would be a dream, but the band was awesome, Ficnk nailed every solo, as did buckethead, and even fortus rocked, axl's vocals were awesome. I am and was as SCEPTICAL AS U ALL ARE ABOUT THE NEW BAND, SAYING THEY WERE CRAP AND NOT THE REAL BAND. TRUST ME THIS BAND TO ME IS GUNS N ROSES, AND WILL PROVE AS THEY DID TO ME THAT THEY CAN PLAY THE SONGS IN MY VIEW SOME WERE BETTER THAN ANY VERSION I HAD HEARD BEFORE, AND AXL ROSE IS AS GOOD AS EVER.

The bad Finished at the early hours of 12.50 in the morning needless to say i was tired but it was worth it!!

Ok the main parts of the show now! Needless to say buckethead and fink absolutely nailed every solo that was on offer, both changing it round a bit, but Fink was my favourite he genuinly is a great player with tonnes of fucking feeling.

Song Reviews

1) Animated Intro - Marting Luther King videos and Skethces of war.

2 Welcome to the Jungle - Brilliant, Axl rose was very very good on this his voice was immense, back to running around, crowd responded to 'You Know Where you are?' Buckethead solo.

3 It's so easy - Stinson played very well and did backong vocals, Fink doing the first solo Bucket second. Axl crab shuffle

4 Mr Brownstone - Awesome drumming from brain and wicked wah wah guitar from Fink.

5 Live and Let Die - Fireballs with the drum when it gets heavy, crowd loved this and great singing along with it, B'head solo for this one and Axl great long screams.

6 Think About You - Excellent RnR track with fortus playing the first solo so well and then bucket for the second.

7 Buckehead Solo - Started off with nunchuks which were thrown into crowd then climbed on amp for 2 min breakdance and robotics. THen strapped on white guitar to Auld Lang Syne and then Star wars Theme with really weird solo with thumb and fingers sort of tapping the strings (very cool)

8 Sweet Child o' Mine - Introduced by axl ladies and gentlemen Mr Robin Finck and then the opening riff NAILED Buckethead the two small solos which were EXACTLY like slashs and then Finck main solo which ruled.

9 You Could Be Mine - WOW this was powerful brain rocked the intro and the powerhouse of all 3 guitars playing was immense even fortus did the intro it sounded bloody amazing!!

10 Patience - Best version and song ever - Fortus and Bucket on acoustic and fink electric, axl nailed the whisling and played the song of his life really emotional!!!!! Solo was one of best ive ever heard really country and bluesy!!!!!!!

10 November Rain - Started with Axl doing bout 2 min solo before on piano, which included fast bits then he stopped for crowd to roar, then came in with drums for the intro!! EVERYONE sang along Finck 1st solo same as slash NAILED, and then bucket romped the second!

12 The Blues - Even better than the version at rio sounded more tight and together! I heard someone in crowd say that was fucking awesome, solo was nailed and changed by Fink it will be one of the best songs and solos in years!!!!

13 Nightrain - Really powerful, Finck with the first solo and buckethead outro making it longer than the album version. Axl sounded quality

14 Knocking on Heavens Door - Slow version but 20 times better than rio axl loads of screams and solo was much better by finck.

15 Rocket Queen - Wicked, fortus is excellent on slide guitar and buckethead at the end solo nailed it. Axl said good fucking night here!! (Encore)

16 Robin Fink Solo - For a guitar player like me most memorable part of night, wat a solo sounded so calm and well played, then fortus came out.

17 Paradise City - Immense crowd went WILD all jumping, double time caused havoc everone went nuts, at the end, all the lights went, massive fireworks, loads of fireballs, LOADS of confetti wat a night - Leeds Good Fucking Night!!!

Rants - There were a few, after one song (cant rember) someone said where's slash, to which rose replied 'Slash, he up my ass fucker, go home'

There was another one where on piano for nov he said that he had no time left to which he said. Im fed up of the press Axl this Axl that shit, I didnt come all this way to be told to go back home, I reckon we still have another 8 fucking songs left' Crowd went wild, and in nov rain interlude he said that they had more time, corwd went wild then song kicked back in.

At one one point he said that 'I bet you motherfuckers didnt expect me to be here' and when there was a roar and axl chant he said stop it your embarrassing me!!!
