Musically the show was great. Wow I can't believe even I had my doubts about this band. They were smoking all night. The one person I now think is totally awesome is Mr. Robin Finck. This guy kicked ass!!! He's number one in my books now. Buckethead was pretty cool too.
The band seemed to play a slower version of YCBM. Did anyone else catch this? I thought the best performances of the night were Chinese Democracy, November Rain and Nightrain. I didn't even like CD very much but hearing that sone live was totally killer. New fave song. Before Rocket Queen Axl said they were laying down the funk... or something like that. When the started I thought it was a new song because Axl let out a little wail. I was shocked but I guess it turned out to be a jam session before Rocket Queen. Every song was great IMO and Axl was in pretty good spirits all night.
