Zerosynthetic is a Christian rock/metal band from Delaware. I say rock/metal, but it's difficult to truly classify our music (see below). There are four members: Jason on vocals and guitar, Matt on guitar and vocals, and Paul on bass. I know, I know, that was only three...we don't have a drummer yet, but if we need a fill-in we can rely on Aaron. We're planning on practicing a lot this summer (2001) and we hope to record a demo album late this year.

Our in-the-planning twelve-song first album "Cross-Eyed"'s approximate musical constitution:
Rock 36.4%
Metalcore 17%
Alternative Metal 17%
Soft Rock 11.4%
Hardcore 10.2%
Industrial Metal 4.5%
Rapcore 3.4%

Expect a much broader variety of musical styles in ZeroSynthetic's future!

Okay, the last thing that's been up here for the last few months was really extensive and somewhat pointless as our sound has been somewhat...SOMEWHAT...more consistent lately. There were a lot of bands in the previous list that, if we ever sounded like them, it was for but a brief instant. So here's a little simpler explanation of our sound. Imagine what it would be like if you took a little bit of the sound from each of the following bands and sort of pieced them together.
(bands in bold are Christian)
Deftones, Filter, Linkin Park, Saliva, P.O.D., Papa Roach, Static-X, Nailed Promise, Godsmack, Finger Eleven, Stereomud, Embodyment, Project 86, Drowning Pool, Alien Ant Farm, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Taproot, KoRn, Creed, Dust For Life, Alice In Chains, Puddle Of Mudd, Incubus, and AFI.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM MATT M. OF ZEROSYNTHETIC:
May the Lord forgive me for putting so many wicked, evil bands on this page. There's no denying that we sound like them, they're just here to give you an idea of our music. We want to sound like them, so that we can be a wholesome Christian alternative to the sort of music that seems to only come in evil. ZeroSynthetic in no way wishes for you to listen to any of the above bands not in bold print. In fact, ZeroSynthetic does not even listen to most of them...only enough to let their music (not lyrics or personalities, just guitars and drums) influence ours. So please do not let this steer you toward listening to bands like A Perfect Circle, Tool, Drowning Pool, or KoRn. If you do listen to such trash, I urge you to look as I do for Christian bands that sound like them. If you would like to know some Christian bands that sound like the bands you like, please check out mp3.com, it is very helpful.
God Bless,
Matt M.
