Hey! I bet you may not have heard of a few of the bands featured on this (if your not an Aussie and you are tuning in from the USA,UK,Europe,Africa or Mars)..do yourself a favour.. and check them out..great links to some Classic Australian bands that may not have rocked the world.. (some did in a huge way..some didnt..some might) but rocked a lot of other peoples worlds! So here are a few links to the best! There are also links to some other sites that are not Rock related, but are Aussie and entertaining..and there is Spinal Tap (a must have). So I hope you enjoy.Over time I will add other bands-but so far this is what it is. So spread the love and rock on! During the 80's bands (real bands) like Radio Birdman-Lime Spiders-Hard ons-Celibate Rifles and many more,rocked out in pubs all over Australia pulling in huge crowds that put "commercial bands" to shame.These guys put thier heart and soul into everything they did. A few others like the Hoodoo Gurus,Hunters and Collectors,INXS and Midnight Oil made the transition into the mainstream..and good for them we loved that.And a few others also deserve mention..Cold Chisel and Rose Tattoo rocked out loud!! and lets not forget the Hitmen and Mandrake... two bands that bit the bullet and just rocked! The list goes on and on and on! So many... A more comprensive site will be built in 2003.That hopes to cover the whole scene.
