Ride the lightning
During the recording of RTL, they had a England-tour. The market wasn't big at that point, and the ticketsale was on top in Newcastle with 14 sold tickets. The producer on RTL was Flemming Rasmussen. Before he had the project with Metallica, he had been working with Rainbow and Mercyful fate.
RTL was even more important than Kill 'em all, 'cause it sat a standard to the forthcoming albums. It isn't so much speed on RTL as on Kill 'em all. Their old fans didn't like the way Metallica had developed. It was a ballad on it!!!!!!
After the release, they went on a tour with Venom.
