Kill 'em all
Their first record. Was Metallica the first trash/speed metal band? Many people mean they weren't, many mean they were. We'll never know. Ulrich himself mean Venom were first out. Kill 'em all took this genre up from the dirt and I think that is more important!
Today the guys in Metallica just laugh of the lyrics from Kill 'em all.
They spend 6 weeks in studio on Kill 'em all. The following tour was called "Kill 'em all for an tour". In a period at that time there were circling some rumours that said Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer) were going to replace Lars.
The song The four horsemen is based upon the demo recording The Mechanix.
On the first copies of the record there were 2 covers. It was Helpless and Am I evil?
Kill 'em all was recorded in Barret Alley studios in Rochester, New York. It's name was supposed to be Metal up your ass, but changed during the recording.
