Delirou5?
If it does, then you've probably heard Deliriou5?
If it doesn't then you've probably still heard some of Deliriou5? music in a church
anywhere in the world. Deliriou5? started as a local praise and worship band, compiling their
originals in the "Cutting Edge" series. Songs like "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever", "Did
You Feel the Mountains Tremble?" and "History Maker" started to pop up on projector screens
all over the U.K., and pretty soon the world. Such was the power of their music that the lads
decided that maybe "Praise and Worship" could possibly crack the secular charts. With this
idea came "King of Fools" and with it a number of secular hits, most notably, "Deeper", all
still distinctly praise and worship, but very much radio friendly.
Deliriou5? next big step came with their follow up album, "Mezzamorphis". Inspired
by the manipulation of sound into music by groups such as "Radiohead" this album broke new
ground for the band, and the Christian music industry. Songs such as "See the Star",
"Gravity" and "It's O.K." again proved secular successes, while songs such as "Kiss Your
Feet" and "Follow" used this new genre to lift the their music to new heights in worship.
But the revolution didn't stop there. Last year they released "Glo". Try to imagine praise and worship for the computer age and you have some idea of what "Glo" is like, but only some. "Glo" is an album you simply have to own. It combines all the sounds and effects of modern music and technology with the timelessness of glorifying God. It's simply phenomonal. I can't begin to describe to you the brilliance and power of this album, you simply have to hear it for yourself. I guess the same can be said about Deliriou5? Whether through the stereo or live in concert Deliriou5? is a worship experience you will never forget. | |
