Real Love, In Truth
Lord and Savior,
You paid the price so high
To save the life, the soul, of Your love.
You endured condemnation so that, in You, Your love would face none.
You, who never sinned, died bloodied on a cross of sin and shame,
so Your love, once full of sin, could stand blameless before You.
And what love could be so heartless as to turn away time
and again from all you did for Your love?
I am Your love,
and I love you, my Lord
yet time and again I turn from You.
I am so sorry, my love!
One more time you forgive,
washing me clean,
reestablishing my purity, so undeserved,
looking on me with Love,
forgetting my sin,
restoring me to be
Your beloved,
The delight of your eyes.
