Gift From the Eternal Ruler
Somewhere in the darkness
Plans were being made,
Before the ocean met the shore
Or earth’s foundations were laid.
He laid out a perfect path
And planned the curve of your grin,
He prepared your precious heart
To know and love Him.
The Creator of the universe delighted in you
Before He placed the stars in the sky,
Before He hung the sun
He looked into eternity and knew for you He’d die.
His little boy
His precious one,
Redeemed, made clean
You are His son.
I have no doubt your life will change the world
As I look into your beautiful eyes,
The Lord has planned each of your days
To move mountains, change eternity, and shame the worldly wise.
So walk by faith
Flee from sin,
Becoming who He planned,
Giving yourself to Him.
