Art

Visual arts and architecture are among my main interests, partly because I study Art History (I started in 1996). I like most Art Nouveau -style, but I´m also interested in art and architecture of Ancient Rome and the Renaissance epoch, Expressionism and Surrealism. Right now I´m doing my study about the ornamentation and decoration of Imatran Valtionhotelli (State Hotel), which is a beautiful example of Finnish Art Nouveau architecture.  I expect it to be finished during this autumn *knocks wood*.

I also paint and draw myself, but I´m not so talented that I could make my living by selling my art. My own style is quite expressionistic and a bit surrealistic, too, but I also paint copies of some comic strip characters.
