DISCOGRAPHY

1978 - Picture My Face b/w Tearin' Me Apart (7" single) Released on Interglobal/Epic Records (E4-8273) and produced by Jack Morrow. "Picture My Face" is also on "Teenage Head", while this version of "You're Tearin' Me Apart" is also available remixed by Chris Spedding & Peter J. Moore on the 1996 re-release of "Teenage Head" on Other People's Music. The band members at this point in time were: Frankie Venom (Frank Kerr Jr.) - vocals, Gordie "Lazy Legs" Lewis (Gordon Lewis) - guitar, Steve Marshall (Stephen Mahon) - bass and Nick Stipanitz - drums.

Note: When Epic declined to release their first single with a picture sleeve, the group made several hundred themselves, which were sold through Record Peddler in Toronto. This sleeve was used by Belaphon for the German pressing. As well, there were two pressings of the Canadian single: one with the "MAPL" symbol on the label and one without it.

1978 - Top Down (New Version) b/w Kissin' The Carpet (7" single) Released on Epic/Interglobal Music (E4-8337), "Kissin' The Carpet" was taken from the "Teenage Head" recording sessions and re-mixed by Stacey Heydon. "Top Down" was produced by Stacey Heydon who would later produce "Frantic City". This version of "Top Down" is also available (re-mixed by Chris Spedding & Peter J. Moore) on the 1997 re-release of "Teenage Head" on Other People's Music.

1979 - Teenage Head (LP) FRONT / BACK Released on Epic/Interglobal Music (PEC 90534) and produced by Teenage Head and Allan Caddy. "Picture My Face" was taken from the 7" single of the same name. 1980 - Frantic City (LP, CS, 8 track) FRONT / BACK Released on Attic Records (AT 1081), "Frantic City" was produced by Stacey Heydon (although on the jacket it just says "Production Co-Ordinators: Frenetic ABC Ltd."). Some additional musicians who appeared on the album are: Rick Morrison - saxophone; Grant Slater - piano; Walter Zwol - Synthesizer; and The Shakers (Dave Rave's band) - back up vocals. 1980 - Somethin' On My Mind b/w Let's Shake (7" single) FRONT / BACK Released on Attic Records (AT 220), both of these tracks were taken from the "Frantic City" LP.

1980 - Let's Shake (New Version) b/w I Wanna Love You (Live Version) (7" single) FRONT / BACK Released on Attic Records (AT 229), "Let's Shake" is a radio-friendly re-mix with altered lyrics and was produced by Stacey Heydon. "I Wanna Love You" is a cover song recorded live in October 1978 at Thunder Sound and produced by Stacey Heydon and Teenage Head.

1981 - Teenage Head (LP) FRONT / BACK Released on Other People's Music/Goon Island Records, this record is a remixed version of the 1979 LP of the same name.

1981 - Backwards In Bed With Teenage Head This record was never actually released. In fact, "Backwards In Bed With Teenage Head" was the working title for "Some Kinda Fun" in 1981.

1982 - Some Kinda Fun (LP, CS) FRONT / BACK / INSERT Released on Attic Records (AT 1124), "Some Kinda Fun" was produced by Brian Christian. In 1995 Some Kinda Fun was released on CD. Additional musicians: Dave Rave and Larry Lava Smith - back-up vocals; Doug Riley - keyboards; Guido Basso - trumpet solo. For a track listing and writer's credits see the LYRICS section.

1982 - Some Kinda Fun b/w Teenage Beer Drinkin' Party (7" single) Released on Attic Records (AT-249). Both songs taken from the "Some Kinda Fun" LP.

1982 - Let's Go To Hawaii b/w Don't Toy With Me (7" single) Released on Attic Records (AT-271). Both tracks taken from the "Some Kinda Fun" LP.

1983 - Tornado (mini LP, CS) FRONT / BACK Released on MCA Records (MCA 36001), the band changed their name to "Teenage Heads" due to pressure from MCA. The album was produced by David Bendeth. Additional musicians: "88 Fingers" Louie Pomanti - keyboards; Mr. Earl Seymour - Saxophone; Johnny Vader - acoustic guitar; Dave Rave - back up vocals. For a track listing see the LYRICS section.

1983 - Tornado b/w Luv For Sale (7" single) FRONT / BACK Released on MCA Records (MCA-52220). Both tracks were taken from the "Tornado" mini LP.

1983 - Blood Boogie (Remixed) b/w (I'm Just) Too True (7" single) Released on MCA Records (MCA 52265), both tracks were taken from the "Tornado" mini LP.

1984 - Live In An Endless Party (LP, CS) FRONT / BACK / INSERT Released on Ready Records (LR 046) and recorded live on New Year's Eve 1983 at Rockland in Hamilton by the Comfort Sound Mobile, engineered by Doug McClement. Studio engineering and mixing was done by Greg Roberts at United Media Studio. For this album, Dave Rave became a full-fledged member of the band on electric guitar and backing vocals. Endless Party came with an insert with a photo of the band on the front and a merchandise catalogue on the back. Tracks: Picture My Face 3:12; Let's Go To Hawaii 3:27 (The Rivieras); Next Time In Town 3:12 (This is the only time this song was ever recorded); Lucy Potato 4:14; Tornado 3:45; Disgusteen 6:43; Cock In My Pocket 3:26 (Williamson/Pop) (This song was not listed on the sleeve presumably because the title was too offensive); Drivin' Wild 4:22; Kissin' The Carpet 4:31; Wild One 2:32; Let's Shake 4:01; Top Down 2:14 (taken from the 7" single).

1984 - Top Down b/w Picture My Face (both live) (7" single) Released on Ready Records. Both songs taken from "Live In An Endless Party".

1985 - Frantic Romantic b/w I Can't Pretend (7" single) Released on Warpt Records (WRC3-4037).

1985 - Trouble In The Jungle (LP, CS) FRONT / BACK Released on Dave Rave's label, Warpt Records (WR 924), "Trouble In The Jungle" was produced by Dave DesRoches and Gord Lewis. Although Nik Stipanitz played drums on Trouble In The Jungle, he had quit the band by the time the record was released, so he was listed on the sleeve as an additional musician. Other additional musicians: Tim Gibbons (harmonica); Ed Roth (DX7 & Oberheim); The Touch (guitar). For a track listing see the LYRICS section.

1985 - Frantic Romantic b/w Get Down (7" single) FRONT Released on Ahed/Warpt Records (RC-21-1). Side A taken from "Trouble In The Jungle". Get Down (Gilbert O'Sullivan) previously unreleased.

1987 - Can't Stop Shakin' (12" single) FRONT / BACK Released on Warpt Records (WRC2 5080), this record featured Dave Rave on lead vocals (Frankie Venom had quit the band). "Can't Stop Shakin'" was produced by Teenage Head. Although "All songs taken from the soon to be released album "Dance With Your Doll"" was printed on the sleeve, only the first two songs, "Can't Stop Shakin'" and "She Rips My Lips" were released on "Electric Guitar", while the other two songs "Dance With Your Doll" and "Don't Start Me Talkin'" (Sonny Boy Williamson) were never released on a full-length album.

1988 - 241 Double Header (CD) FRONT / BACK Released on Attic Records (ACD 24101), this record is actually the "Frantic City" and "Some Kinda Fun" albums both released on the same CD.

1988 - Electric Guitar (LP, CD, CS) FRONT / BACK Released on Fringe Product (FPL3064), "Electric Guitar" was produced by Teenage Head and would be the band's last album for nearly nine years. Additional musicians: Rick Andrew - vocals; Malcolm Burn - keyboards and electronics; Tim Gibbons - guitar; Ed Roth - keyboards; Daniel Lanois - guest solo (The Girl That Radiates That Charm) - second guitar (Everybody Needs Somebody). 1988 - Little Girl Don't You Understand b/w Everybody Needs Somebody (7" single) Released on Fringe Records (FPS 1784). Side A previously unreleased. Side B Taken from "Electric Guitar".

1994 - Frantic City (CD) Released on Attic Records (ACDM 1081).

1995 - Some Kinda Fun (CD) Re-mixed and released on Attic Records (ACBD 1124).

1996 - Head Disorder (CD, CS) FRONT / BACK Released on Loud Rock Records (5011-2), this album marks the return of Frankie Venom as lead vocalist, as well as the addition of Mark Lockerbie on drums and background vocals. "Head Disorder" was produced by Mark S. Berry. Additional musicians: Mark Berry - organ on "Rock With Rock"; Burton Cummings - piano on "She's My Girl" and "Glasgow's Cryin'". 1996 - Teenage Head (CD) FRONT / BACK Released on Other People's Music/Goon Island Records (OPM-2107), This is a CD re-release of the remixed version of "Teenage Head" originally released in 1981. This CD also comes with five tracks originally unavailable on that album: "Disgusteen"; "You're Tearin' Me Apart"; "Bonerack"; "Lucy Potato", all from the Picture My Face recording sessions and "Top Down" from the 7" single of the same name. All bonus tracks were remixed by Chris Spedding and Peter J. Moore. Also, the booklet comes with many previously unavailable photos of the band.
