Here's Kathy's story about how she became obsessed with the Goo Goo Dolls!
It was in September 1998 I was in a cinema, watching "City of Angels" then I heard this voice ... I was like "WOW ..." and totally blown away ... after a week I saw "Iris" for the first time ... I said to myself "These guys are great you must check out whats going on ..." then I read the name `Goo Goo Dolls´ and huh, GGD what`s that? Cool name ... then the weeks passed by and I hadn`t seen anything until Feb 1999 then on two of our music channels they had shows with the Goos. One on Viva called "overdrive" where they perfomed live, and a interview on "2Rock" (Viva2) I taped both and after watching I only wanted to get the DUTG CD ... I got on my 16th birthday on 12th march ... from this day I was a Goo Goo Dolls fan ... A month later they played "Name" on 2Rock just for me ... I requested it (because of the long hair LOL) I got "Jed", "A boy named Goo", "Superstar Carwash" and "Hold me up" in the summer of `99 ... but I missed the Goos when they`re here for a small tour (only 5 shows) I still kick myself for that ... In fall 1999 I was on a cure and before I went there I had made an advertisment ... I was searching GGD fans here in germany ... I got about 18 reponses ... Well ... that`s my GGD Story so far ... now I`m still obsessed and I never want to stop ...
