PAUL STANLEY
Paul was born Stanley Harvey Eisen on January 20, 1952 in New York City, NY. He has one older sister. He is the only New York born member to have never lived in Brooklyn. He went to the prestigious New York High School of Music and Art. He then went on to the Bronx Community College majoring in art. As a teenager, Paul worked in a factory punching holes in a bullitin board. He also was a deli sandwich maker. Eventhough, he is pretty much self-taught on the guitar, he did take some lessons. The first song he learned was "La Cuccaracha." He formed his first band at age 15. They were known as The Post War Baby Boom and recorded a one song demo in 1967, which has never seen the light of day. Paul formed Wicked Lester with Gene in 1972. They are now known as KISS. He has played with KISS from 1972 until the present. Although known for his rhythm guitar playing in KISS, he does play a few solos. His first solo was "C'mon and Love Me". He's also played solos on songs, such as "I Want You,"
"I Stole Your Love," "Sure Know Something," "Shandi," "What Makes the World
Go 'Round," "A World Without Heroes," and "Psycho Circus". He lists Eddie Cochran, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones,
The Who, The Yardbirds as influences. He just recently finished a stint as the lead role in the Toronto, Canada presentation of "Phantom
of the Opera" in mid 1999. Paul is currently married to actress/model Pamela Bowen Stanley. They have one child, Evan(5). He is currently playing guitar and singing with KISS.
