Teenage Problems

Words by Bob Conklin
Music by Gutterball

Why is it that we just don’t care
when we don’t have nothin to lose?
And what happened to the days gone by
with the rock and roll, the women and booze?

I was running from my teenage problems,
in my own little world.
What happened to the days gone by?
I guess I don’t really miss ‘em much at all.

Why is it that the love of a woman
makes you wanna go and change your ways?
And what happens to the smile and the laughter
when you have to go your separate ways?

I was running from a teenage problem,
an emotional girl.
What happened to the things I said?
I guess that I never really meant them at all.

What do you do when the pain comes?
Where the time went I will never know.
Someday I’ll wrap you in my loving arms,
and I’m never ever ever gonna let you go.

When was it that I finally knew
that I couldn’t go another day
without the love that you gave to me,
and the life that you had passed my way?

I’m through runnin’ from my silly little problems.
I’m in touch with the world.
I know you don’t love me now,
but every day I miss you more and more.
