DISC BRAKE BACKING PLATE DECALS

Various GM models had different codes from what I understand. There were also different font styles
and colors used as well. If you know the style and color I should be able to make what you need.

FOR THE 69 Z/28 CROWD

I had an individual contact me in 2009 about making Disc Brake Backing Plate Decals for his
69 Camaro Z/28. He has owned the car for over 30 years and one of the original decals is still
on the car. He ordered a repro from one of the parts suppliers which has no underline,
letter spacing is not accurate and the corners are rounded. Thus he approached me.

The owner provided me with a picture of his original decal and the specific
measurements of the letters. My decal matches those measurements.
The only thing slightly different is the "A".

You will note on the one original that the letters are at a slight angle to the decal itself.
It is obvious that this particular decal on his car was done with an ink stamp. Mine are
not ink stamped, but printed. The owner in question wanted to replicate his decal
exactly so I made him some oversize ones which he cut to suit his needs.
Obviously not all of the originals were at this angle, but we can do
them that way if you wish. Here are relative pictures of this decal.

Thanks to fellow enthusiasts Mike and Mark for providing original pictures

69 CAMARO BIG BLOCKS (396 AND COPO)

Had another Camaro owner approach me about Disc Brake Backing Plate Decals for the big block
69 Camaros. Like the Z/28’s, these were very unique. If you look at the original you will notice
a few things - 1) The thick underline; 2) Thickness of the body of the “D” in relation to
the thickness of the “A” which is a fairly significant difference; 3) Overall spacing.
Now look at the current reproduction available.

This was certainly another challenge to best replicate the original. My product may not
be perfect, but it is very close. Certainly no comparison between mine and the repro.
