Initial Designs

The
initial design was to use the stock manifold with adapters bolted on the hold
the injectors and a custom plenum bolted in place of the carburetor with the
throttle plate bolted to it. This was
designed but never machined. Problems with
this design included the fact that the stock manifold did not have equal length
runners, and airflow would be restricted by the tight corner and opening where
the carburetor formerly attached. The
injector housings where machined and a manifold modified before that idea was
scrapped.
