Faith Based Development
The Basic Idea
Many of the world's great faiths inspire people to undertake activities which help improve their community life in a variety of ways. These can take two forms:
- In house actions undertaken by a group operating as a unit
- Individuals operating on their own with no official connection but drawing inspiration from the group.
With changes in the legislation governing the direct involvement of faith groups in the handling of social assistance money in the United States, some interesting projects have been undertaken lately.
