Five Tactical-Level Capacities

I have five tactical-level capacities. That is, I typically use one of five approaches to any task that I have to do singly or in combination:
  1. Community Animation
  2. Ditch Pushing
  3. Tool Development
  4. Photography
  5. Info-Chase
Each of these tactical level capacities has activities which I use in order to implement them. I find the most satisfaction in a task if all of my five capacities are under load rather than just one or two of them.

Community animation (an approach to community development) and ditch pushing (an approach to assisting "stuck" individuals) are the two front-line activities with people.

Tool Development (primarily in the area of data management) is conducted primarily for my own use, and secondarily for use by others, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of my work.

I do not do photography so much as do life photographically. Photography (both still and motion picture)is a medium of communication I find useful in many ways, in many areas of my life.

Info Chase is my term for chasing down information that is of practical value and satisfies my curiosity about (usually) some practical matter. I find that it is harnessed into a process that Barker calls Paradigm Pioneering.

My ability to use each of the five capacities has grown over the years, and I continue to hone their "edge" so that they can be of maximum usefulness when needed.
