Unlike many new bands that struggles to find their niche in the music world, two years ago IMAJIN had the forsight and wisdom to stop, reevvaluate, refine and at times reinvent their sound. This metamorphosis transformation has led to rebirth in a sound that is more mature, more intense, and much bigger with a whole new Flava than anyone could ever IMAJIN-ed.
John Fitch (21) affirm that brings the "flavor" to the mix. Born in New Orleans he was reared on fertile jazz, pop, and R&B music. John loves hip hop. He is from a family of professional musicans. John's poignant exploration of genres from R&B to jazz and classical has earned him accolades as a keyboard player, bass player and singer. Talib Kareem (21) is the "melody maker" from New Jersy whose skills on the piano in no small way out measures his production skills in the studio. Playing piano since the age of five, Talib studied jazz and classical composition at The Settlement School of Philadelphia and performed with the legendary Grover Washington, Jr. in a variety of master classes. Talib wrote and produced a song with Beyonce'for recording artist Solange.
Olamide Faison (20) is the best described as the "soulful energy" of the group. He delivers animated vocals with a mind boggling smile. A native New Yorker, he comes from a family of entertainers. Olamide sings, plays guitar and is an actor. He is a regular on Seasame Street, had a role in the HBO movie, Rebound, sang lead vocals to the Cartoon Network's "Big Bag" theme song, and has appeared on many television commercials.
Tony Royster, Jr (19) is the "heartbeat" of the group. A drummer since age three, Tony is proficient in many styles. He excels in funk R&B, rock and jazz. Tony was voted #1 up and coming drummer by Mordern Drummer magazines 2000 and #2 in the UK 2001 reader's poll. He appeared on the cover of the millennium issue. He has performed alongside notable drummers as Dennis Chambers, Billy Cobham, Steve Smith,Sheila E. and Chester Thompson. He played drums for Nickleodeon House Band, the 42 Annual Grammy Awards show and toured internationally with Kikaru Utada. He has shared the stage with legendary musician as Brandford Marsalis, Paul Shaffer, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. He is always invited to predtigous drum festivals and conventions.
