Hi, I'm John Chase, I'm a Master Electrician, and have been doing electrical work since 1991.
I have a wife Ada Jane and a daughter Tomi Lee and a son Justus Wayne, my family is the pride and joy of my life. They come first.
I have been programing since 1980, started by rewrite my grade schools commador computer programs, they were in basic and pretty easy to figure out even for a grade school kid.  I got my first computer around 1981 a TI 99/4a a wonderful computer. 16 colors 3 voice sound and even voice syns. In jr high school we had Radio shack TRS-80 computers b/w screens, ohhhhh. But they also had the original wormy game on them and I still have a print out of it. In high school I got a new computer a Tandy-1000sx 128k ram ega graphics and 3voice sound on a pc, 4.77/8 mhz just blew away my friends ibm pc and pc/jrs. Senior year in high school I got another computer a packard bell 386sx 16 2meg of ram, vga graphics, wow, a 40 meg hard drive, back then nobody had hard drives, 8/16mhz wow the things I could do now. Still limited by Turbo Pascal 3.0 so upgraded to 6.0 with objects, big time now baby. My next computer after I got married was a trigem pentium 100 mhz which I still have but very upgraded from 100mhz to 550mhz from 16meg ram to 256meg ram from 1 gig hd to 45 gig of space mostly used by .mp3s, love those songs.
Also have a 233mgz packard bell, a homebuld amd 550, and a amd 1ghz.
My four computers are networked together and share a cable internet connection along with my x-box.

I first played a rpg on my tandy, wizardy, ok, but the ultima 3, this was the best game I had ever played and by time I was a senior in high school had completed my first rpg called Xepher, all coded in TP3.0  still have most of the code print out but it wasn't much 4 color 320x200 graphics and on the pc speaker for sound, but I had made it and my friends loved it.
When I got my packard bell with vga I remade xepher bigger and better, but alsa it is only a memory stored on 3.5 hdd corrupted data. I built a image editor for it but hand enter the maps in a text editor, what a lot of work that was.
I have made several other small rpg with a style crossed between a pc and consol rpg style.  I like 2d rpd and have little experience with 3d.  Currently working on another rpg unnamed maybe I'll resurrect the Xepher name, I was always found of that name.
Other current projects a map base pac-man type game - have it done just need some sounds and midis and some objective it just seems to be missing something.
I took a long vacation from programming from around 1993 to 1998 when I started learning C++, didn't stick with it had a bunch of ideas in my head but never completed any then around 2000 I found the little known Euphoria a very easy to use C alternative very fast, very easy windows controls.  So how did I end up back in a basic style language, while retro gamming I found a ultima 4 remake made using Dark Basic and the programmer had listed using this/ with a link to DBpro website, I downloaded the demo about 25 days ago and have been very impressed with how easy and powerful it is with game development. Which brings us to today jan 8,2003
