Links Family Search provides excellent resources for initiating family history. 1. Supplies a free software download of PAF, Personal Ancestral File, to organize family history 2. Facilitates collaborating with other genealogical researchers and 3. Makes available valuable government documents to research. Roots, a free site provided by Ancestry.com, allows people to access information that has been placed on the web by other researchers. It also provides easy access to getting started tips, message boards and search engines. The World Genealogy Web Project is a helpful resource for locating international family members. The US Genealogy site is beneficial for locating American family members. The United Kingdom and Ireland Genealogical Information site is of use, though there are several pages to explore for a sparse amount of data. Federation of East European Family History Societies is a useful resource though not user friendly.
