Tajikistan

Tajikistan's Current flag.

Adopted November 24, 1992 three horizontal stripes: red over white over green centered on the white, a gold crown with seven stars above it. The ensemble represents state sovereignty; unbreakable unity of workers, peasants and intellectuals; and friendship and brotherhood among all nationalities.

Kazakhstan

Adopted June 4, 1992
sky blue field
golden sun with 32 gold rays
below the sun a golden eagle in flight; symbol of freedom and aspirations
on the hoist side is a "national ornamentation" in gold.

     


Turkmenistan
Adopted 1992; green field
green field with a vertical red stripe near the hoist side, containing five carpet guls (designs used in producing rugs) stacked above two crossed olive branches similar to the olive branches on the UN flag; a white crescent moon and five white stars representing the five regions of Turkmenistan appear in the upper corner of the field just to the fly side of the red stripe

 


 

Kyrgyzstan
Adopted March 3, 1992
at center, a yellow sun symbolizes light, nobility, and eternity; 40 rays represent the 40 Kyrgyz tribes led by Manas; on the obverse side the rays run counterclockwise, on the reverse, clockwise; within the sun is a stylized representation of the tunduk or peak of a yurta.

 

   

   

Uzbekistan

Adopted September 30, 1991
Three horizontal stripes: blue over white over green stripes are separated by red fimbriations on the blue stripe, at the upper hoist-side, are a white crescent moon and 12 stars arranged in rows of three, four, and five new moon stands for the rebirth of the nation and the 12 stars represent the signs of the zodiac.
