On November 19, 2003, at 14:25:37, the momentous phone call arrived. It was "Dog Ear: Music and Movies" calling me to confirm that my pre-ordered "The Two Towers: Extended Version: Gift Box Set," had indeed arrived that their store only moments ago.
I immediately prepared for departure. I may very well have set a record going to that store and back, but there was a stiff wind, so I cannot be sure. (Note: they had told me it would cost $60, the same as Best buy, but it turned out to be $70. Will make sure to support Best Buy from now on. Good thing my sister is paying for half of it as an early Christmas present.)
It came to me, it's mine, my own, my precious...
It had to be unwrapped with all proper ceremony, carefully noting and photographing every detail of the box with special art on it.
Isn't it beautiful?
It makes a nice addition to my already extensive Tolkien collection.
Time for the fun to begin!
