Coder carries a short-sword (hand weapon). At the additional points shown he can be given the following items of wargear: a Horse at 10 points, Spear at 5 points, Shield at 5 points, or a Bow at 5 points.

General of the Glorious Army: Coder can benefit from any banner under any Good faction. From Gamling’s “Royal Standard of Rohan” to Boromir’s “Banner of Minas Tirith” as well as any other Elven, Hobbit or Dwarven banners. Hard of Hearing: When a fellow hero calls a heroic action Coder must be within 4” in order to be affected. Herald of Gondor: Being a leader of the Free Peoples Coder can carry the “Banner of Minas Tirith” however its affects are different. The banner inspires courage within surrounding troops and thus all fellow soldiers within 12” gain a +1 to their Courage. Coder will suffer as a result of carrying the banner (usual banner rules apply- no shields, etc.) and suffers a -1 to his Defence.
