2 Cups | Flour |
2 Tsp | Baking Powder |
1/4 Tsp | Salt |
1/4 Cup | Shortening or Butter |
2/3 Cup | Milk |
1) Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
2) Add shortening until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
3) Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add all of the milk.
4) Stir batter vigorously with fork until dough is moistened and it sticks together.
5) Knead gently 10 to 20 times.
6) Roll out dough to a thickness of 2 cm.
7) Cut dough with biscuit cutter.
8) Bake at 450 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
