It has taken me months to update my site and recognise Zenith's passing...it seemed better just to pretend she was still with us. To my eternal sorrow Zen was taken from us when she suffered complications after a caesarian operation. Despite being a strong, healthy and spirited girl, a complication took her from us unexpectedly and has left us bereft of an immense presence in our home. Her breeder, Cyndy Burton of Starridge RRs, best captured Zenith's zest for life when she said that we should light sparklers rather than candles to note the passing of this spirit. She will always be missed and never forgotten. While it's not the same, we're grateful to have her brother Tyson and her son and daughter to remember her by. She has certainly made her mark in the showring, in our breeding program, but also - and most importantly - indelibly on our hearts.
This beautiful girl came into our lives mid 1999. Showing one girl was no longer enough and the opportunity of having two showgirls was just too good to pass up. Little did I know that two would soon become three. Adoring both the sire and dam, as well as their bloodlines, was another primary motivation for getting this little showgirl.
As well as being a fantastic companion to both her canine and human family, Zenith also achieved great things in the show ring and attained her Australian Championship title on 31st December 2000 under judge Mrs Croad (QLD). Zenith is a multiple Class in Show/Opposite Class in Show and Class in Group winner at both Speciality and All Breeds levels. Zenith exuded show attitude and this made her an absolute pleasure to handle in the show ring.
